Flipper is a kid safety item. It goes over the tub spout so it won't cut or hurt kiddos (and adults). You attach them with silicon so you can clean them and make sure they are staying on. The vintage hand drills have caps at the top of the handle usually. When screwed off they have drill bits to use in them. Love those old drills. Those old red handled scissors are called kitchen shears. They were used for cutting, crushing (walnuts too) and separating meats and vegies. I wish I still had mine. Wiss made all kinds of scissors and their pinking shears are the best for sewing clothing, the dressmaking scissors are well worth sharpening again and again by professionals.

Ice tongs had two handles on each side and the points were really sharp. They needed to be sharp so the points would jab in really deep to survive the trip to the kitchen and the ice box. The tong that the Hales found is a tong for skidding logs out to the skidder trail where they were hooked up to slide to the log loader or dragged to the river to float down to the mill. The logging tongs had chain between the ends to hook on to the skidder. I limbed and bucked pulp to the skidder lane one summer and I thought it would be the death of me. Bucking pulp is manhandling (or woman) a green wet 8 ft. log upright so it was vertical and then pushed to the other side toward the skidder lane. Do that 50 times a day.

Fishing contest is a printer’s block. That would’ve been most likely an ad for a newspaper, possibly for a magazine. Printer’s trays (actually were once drawers in cabinets) were very collectible about thirty years or so ago. People would put various trinkets in them and hang them on their walls. We did that. We were foreign missionaries, and worked full-time for 17 years. The trinkets in ours are very precious to us. We collected them along the way in multiple countries, and they represent many memories. The “H” on the bowls, probably from Hall Pottery. Hall teapots are very collectible, so I’d guess that the bowls were, too. The finish on the bowls are identical to those on the Hall teapots. The box with tiny vials with tiny parts-most likely belonged to a service/repairman, for use on “calls” to homes for repairs. The tiny oil can at 43:25. I’d like to know more about it, if copper? If you still have it, cost, etc., please? The green balls at 39:00 ish, I’d think that those might’ve been “Clackers” without the rope that once connected them. The lining of the antique soft rifle case at the end, wow! It was so beautiful that I’d consider it art. Sincerely. 😃 It reminds me so much of my childhood...same style as the art used in children’s books at that time. I could easily imagine that hanging on a wall in a man cave as an embellishment. Hope these tidbits helped you identify a few things. 😊

The green ceramic cups are restaurant small wares. The # is the style/size of the item and the "H" stands for the company, Hall. Those look before my time...and I started in the biz some 50 years ago.

The light at about 37 minutes is a reverse light for a mid to late 70's stepside Dodge pickup but since you are finding all of the Ford stuff they probably used on them as well.

I loved the Lionelville railroad travel train bank with coin sorter. they go for about 15 bucks give or take. but thats if its working. it actually has a speaker and when you drop a quarter in it you would hear the conductor say all aboard.

I noticed afterwards that it was a coin sorter! Love it!

at the 39:04 mark those green balls used to have ratcheting device in the hole that would have a rod that connected in the ratcheting device, one side of the rod had a #2 phillips head and the other end had a #3 flat head. insert one end into the ball and use the other end to drive in a screw in turn the ball clockwise, and turn the ball over and it would unscrew the screw turning the ball counter clockwise.
