You did an awesome job making the bed and linen,you are so clever. The frame of the bed is wonderful and the mattress and bed linen are brilliant too. Like you said it is lovely to see a bed unmade ,beds are alway made up .Thank you so much for sharing you talent with us.

This is brilliant Jolene! It's so lovely and really authentic looking. Even the stains on the mattress lol...who hasn't seen an old bed that has a "map of Australia" stained on it somewhere? Its a sign of long wear and use over decades. I have a wrought iron bed on my own To Do list for Mama and Papa in the gnome home but I was thinking of using your wrought iron gate tutorial to figure out how to make it, now I can just pull on more of your creative genius! Even as I was watching you, I had ideas like oh I wonder how it would work if I did that bit this way, or tried doing it another way...You are just so talented and I am grateful that you share it with us all.

I personally love it! I can imagine that mattresses in the past maybe didn’t always fit the bed perfectly but they used what they had. The mattress looks very realistic. Same with the bedding and linens. I am also super fond of leaving those sweet little linens folded on the bed. I can imagine the wire bed is not the easiest thing to make but it just fits the house perfectly. I’m a bit under the weather so I’ve been watching the whole playlist on making Miss Margo and it’s still exciting to watch her come into being! You have so much talent and a wonderful personality, your channel is always an amazing place to visit and revisit ❤ xx

I think it looks in keeping for the era. We used to mix and match bed frames with any mattress we could get our hands on. If it was slightly wider than the frame, we would pull the bed out from the wall a little to hide that fact, though not enough to roll off and get stuck at odd hours of the night. Don't ask me how I know. This miniature reminds me very much of the bed I had as a child, which had a label on the side with ONO printed on it. Same colour mattress, which John Lewis still sells to this day as its "vintage bedding set". I had candy floss striped flannelette sheets and pillow case and beautiful checkered blanket black, chocolate, orange and yellow. The good old days. Much happiness. I shall look in on the rest of the build.

I love the bed and bedding! Just one thing, Jolene, (it doesn't really matter, and you're too young to know this) back in the day, we didn't really have "fitted" sheets, or they weren't common. It was simply just another flat sheet tucked up under the mattress 😁. I think it's still pretty common practice in hospitals, but I don't know for sure.

Oh my gosh don’t toss your bottle of Fabri-Tac. Put acetone based nail polish remover in it and roll the bottle and tip and turn the bottle until it mixes in. Start with a small amount and keep adding more until it’s the consistency you want. It may take a while blend in. I’m you over-thin, leave the cap off a little while to let some of it evaporate. Fabri-Tac is wonderful and way too expensive to toss. I’ve thinned down the same bottle over and over again. Hope this helps.
@tinykeyholeminis

Thank you so much for sharing that lovely trick. I knew there was something I could do and just couldn't remember. I would cut the bottle open before I tossed it.😂 You are so right this stuff is expensive. Thanks so much that will be super helpful.🥰❤️

If you hammer along the frame it hardens the wire Jolene, I would cut all the components, shape them and hammer to harden before gluing or soldering the pieces together. If you have a hard flat surface, like a metal block, that's perfect. It's noticeably harder afterwards. I love this bed!

@AnneAndersonFoxiepaws
@AnneAndersonFoxiepaws 3 ай бұрын
@@dinky6620I always use a metal hammer against a block but you can get other kinds I'm really not sure about them. I always make sure I'm hitting it flat with the flat of the hammer, unless of course you want to achieve the dented 'hammered' look, I usually do it for wire buckles and aluminium that needs hardening for miniature stirrups on mini horse tack.

A little trick I like to use with thin wire is to unspool a little more than I need, then before i cut it use a small pair of pliers to help me stretch the wire out. It not only straightens the wire, but it adds strength to it, too. Cut to your length, and off ya go!😉
