That is another step to become a maker and DIY-er.
Video no 6 in my workshop is restoration project of an old rusty axe with a broken handle.
The plan was to do another restoration and try something new, a Viking lookalike battle axe.
This project gave me opportunity to make a small step towards metalworking.
Cutting off quite big chunk of axe was new experience.
Woodworking and making axe handle was fun, however it didn't go as smooth as i planned.
I had to use epoxy resin to save the handle which is the biggest part of this project.
Overall axe works, it's pretty sharp, chops timber as it should and another hand tool is rescued.
I think I'm getting the hang of how to restore rusty tools.
Also I have to say, that I loved restoring this old axe and there are going to be more axe's projects on my channel.
