Always fascinated it was saved. That was the one that rear-ended another train when it was nearly new and had to go back to EMD to be rebuilt.

I envy you 🙄 ! Ive wanted to work for the railroad, any railroad since I was a child. My Brother in Law kept saying " they're laying off" all the time. Problem was, and I was too stupid to realize it, yeah they were laying off, OLD, SALARY MAXED OUT POOTS , like he was and hiring young men, like I was then, who would work cheap

It's nice, but does anyone know why they gave it a GP9 number? It was built as 915 and later numbered 5605. 6400's had dynamic brakes and were 9's.

That was a Proto 2000 locomotive pulling a proto 2000 caboose, pulling a Varney flat car with crane, pulling a Mantua/Tyco aluminum passenger car, pulling a Athearn RDC, and a Rivarossi/AHM baggage car.
