Heidi your videos get better and better, and what a great subject this time, and also being a vet myself (Army) there is help out there for veterans one being SAFFA who helped me way back in 2009 when I hit hard times after a job loss and loosing all that I owned, SAFFA, helped by paying my deposit on house and supplied some white goods to start me off, so a big thankyou to this group in helping out those who are in need.

What an amazing group of people to be doing such a worthy cause for our veterans. That is one of the most unique things I have heard of and it deserves to be applauded. As far as I'm concerned, it's a crime having our veterans, people who have put their lives on the line in the service of our Country sleeping rough when there are others who have no right to be here are being put up in Hotels. The people who are involved in this wonderful organisation are Hero's themselves.

Hi Heidi great to see you reaching out to my fellow Vetrans When you done a vlog couple of years ago with this charity I did contact them offering my services as a volunteer but for some reason they never got back to me ? I thought that they just did not exist anymore But I do see that is not the case. I’m gonna contact them again to see what I can do Most likely as I live in London and Munich maybe a donation would be good. Let’s see what they come up with As a veteran myself I do know of some of the problems Vetrans sometime have The military don’t train ex service people to be civilians once they have finished there duties and there are a lot who do struggle we see some of these on too Oftern occasions in the military Muesum that I help run here in central London we try to help if we can I think this charity you have highlighted today can sure do a grand job for some struggling veterans. As I said I’ll be in contact with them to offer assistance if we can Heidi as normal keep up the good work keep these vlogs coming there still grand As always. Xx gadgit xx Bee good

This is a brilliant initiative. These guys have served their country well, often in situations that would petrify civilians. It’s going to change hundreds of lives for the better and the best thing is that, due to the nature of people who already live on the water, they will integrate more readily than they otherwise might do. Well done to whoever thought of this. And also it you, Heidi for your promotion. Good luck to each and every one of them.

Ahoy Heidi, As a British Royal Navy veteran with 25 years before the mast-and now a narrowboat skipper-I wanted to send a hearty thanks for casting a spotlight on Forces Veterans Afloat! It’s grand to see a crew turning vessels into safe harbors for fellow sailors who’ve weathered the storms of service. Your video captured the spirit and purpose beautifully-steady as she goes!
