My oldest son (23) passed away recently due to cancer. I CANNOT sleep in a quiet room right now, and can't explain why, but this background noise played over my little Bluetooth speakers just helps me put my brain into distraction and rest. Thank you!

@@hyperboreanmoment3985 Thanks for your concern. We are all still a bit broken. His urn containing his burned remains sits in the living room, as we are waiting for his stone to be carved. He will be interred at the National Cemetery with the Army providing a 21 gun salute. I am so proud of my boy, and I talk to. Parents aren't programmed to bury their own offspring...

Got in out of that deluge just in time. The lightning is sharp and I almost got hit by a falling branch. Good thing I saw the fire through the window. Let me get these shoes off, hang up my cloak, and dry out a bit. I'll just browse the shelves while I'm waiting, so soothing....love old books.🤫

All of this gives me a strange yet beautiful feeling, like you can see humanity's very core and it's a warm shining light that has been there for longer than we can imagine. It makes me think of our ancestors, sitting around a fire in a cave, the thunderstorm raging outside and yet the fire is crackling as always and you just know that it will be well, because deep down, humanity is good, connected by little things like rainstorms and a crackling fire. It's incredible to see how we take refugee in things like fire and storms, that used to scare us. But still we are connected, and when you close your eyes and relax, can you feel the warmth of everyone else that has listened to this? Can you feel the love I am sending your way through this message? Whoever you are out there, I love you.

An old bookshop located at the end of the street surrounded by three cafes, two food markets, two pharmacies, and other such businesses it has been here for many years and is currently owned by the grandson of the original owner who has since passed away and while he remodeled the bookshop in recent years he tries to keep it looking the way it always looks as you can see here, there are a variety of different books here such as reference books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, others ranging from hardback classic books to paperback novels, mysteries, suspense, crime, westerns, adventures, romantic and many other genres of books, plus a reading room for the veterans customers, and always hot coffee and donuts compliments from the cafe across the street, all of books are at reasonable prices some are cheap while others aren't but we get new and used books and buy, sell and trade as well, Today it is raining really good outside and only a few loyal customers braving the rain and coming in and we do reasonably well here financially and we will be here for as long as possible and as it is still raining all of the customers have gone home and the owner and his employees are cleaning up the bookshop and counting the receipts and have done pretty good today and tomorrow it's going to be raining off and on as the weather forecast says, all of the employees have hurried home in the pouring rain safely and now the owner looks around at the bookshop and thinks of the history it could tell of his grandfather's business and how he is keeping it alive, now locked up and the lights are off and another busy day over and another one waiting for tomorrow well good night all.

the sounds really are serious ear candy- the speed and level of fire crackle, the layers of watery rain- an effect that is letting me even make out distinct drops hitting several different objects- the thunder sounds like it'll be delicious on headphones, but i haven't tried that yet cause i just logged on and am actually commenting before i give it a spin on tha ol' 'phones hehehe! ;) and the realism of the fire in the hearth is a beaut as well- i will most likely read to this til i pass out tonite, so i'll thank you now and get on with it my friend...peace be with you and thanks again, as always, for sharing your skill
