What a fascinating round, high level. You weathered his storm and came back fighting / earnt the young lion's respect even after a scare. Glad you're elbow is alright. Thank you for sharing, as always brother.

Those injuries can happen so quickly. Glad you're not injured.

Yes it can Chuck! It caught me by surprise and went on fast. I can't wait to learn it! lol

Josh is really creative with his submissions. Really interesting start he had before coming to Codellas. He also used to do some of the kids classes with me before joining military. But yeah he’s a fun roll, and definitely doesn’t give you a moment to relax, cause the second you think you’re on, he’s putting some weird stuff on you. Nice roll.

The over under is hands down my favorite and most effective pass! Not used much at my school but for me it’s the centerpiece of a pressure passing approach that I’m working on…

Hell yeah! I just put out a video "Old brown rolling with young brown belt". He uses a Torreando to over/under. Check it out when you can. Really sweet
@chriswilsonyu259911 ай бұрын
@@Jitsover50 yea that was a great entry! I'll have to play around with Torreando more. I mostly enter by switching from a double-under attempt, shoot into it directly, or get a leg isolated and then enter it. It requires some quickness and craftiness to set up, but once set up, I find that even higher belts have trouble stopping it...

Great video! How do you balance your "agression" during rolls? I'm still struggling to find my pace and level of agression during my rolls.

Thank you Carlos! Great question. The key is to use it briefly during key moments like warp speed on the Millennium Falcon. lol

Thank you brother Andrew. Yes no problems with it afterwards! Josh and I talked about it after class and he is going to show me how he hit it next time we have a moment.
