Dude !!! So bad ass! I am definitely adding this to my bucket list when I'm out your way. That ride past the old oak trees would be spooky as hell on a moon lit night. I love old places, old history thanks for the look-see. Great to see you back on the bike again.

Its sooo good to see you out and about again ❤️ So, when they relocate bodies from a graveyard like that, there’s a lengthy legal process that has to be gone through. That’s why you noticed. There’s like one or two gravestones that are still there, so what they have to do is they have to contact the family of the people that are buried there and get their permission and there’s a actual legal process with paperwork and everything that has to be done for each and every person that they’ve removed and relocated that’s why you probably saw the one or two that are still there those are people they couldn’t contact family members for etc.. Hope that helps anyone who is curious about the process. great video.

Yes, that is what happened in Kellerman, at the black cemetery - they could not find the relatives and the ground was mined all around it - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJWckIaNebKCfdE

It’s been about a year since my accident and I’m scheduled for my second knee surgery coming up soon. I still haven’t been able to ride. But it pleases me to no end that you are riding again and on a sweet new bike! You’re a legend!

Thanks for the tour. So that was the "funny farm". Now they just roam the streets and take over our parks and libraries.

funny, they roamed the streets much more back in the day - now you barely notice the street crazies, as they are no longer released from the hospital I guess?

Your caption at ~5:37 made me remember going to the Mercy Hospital in New Orleans to get my uncle after he wrecked his K1200LT somewhere south of New Orleans. He got ate up pretty good with road rash and I'm shocked he didn't get an infection from being in that hospital. They had placed him in a ward with one small bathroom and it smelled so bad it could knock a buzzard of a gut wagon. The place was filthy, it was hard to imagine that a hospital could be so nasty.

Adventures come in all sizes. What a great little January afternoon adventure. I'm still envious. I tried to go out looking for my buddy Luke but my tauntaun died before I reached the first marker so I'll see you in hell. #HothLife Here in central Kentucky, we have Eastern State Hospital, founded in the 1820s. It was on the outskirts of town but the town grew up around it. It was the mental ward for the entire state. Like Old Bryce Hospital, there are stories of ghosts and hauntings, and creepy stuff that happened in the 1800s. It's still in operation but in a newer facility that is decidedly less medieval. We also have what is now the Blackburn Federal Correctional Institute but it was founded during The Great Depression as the Narcotic Farm where the federal government sent addicts. The CIA used it to perform its Cold War era MK Ultra mind control experiments on people. I just noticed that your Moto Giant logo now has a prosthesis!

My uncle spent some time there. He came home from 3 tours of Vietnam and was fine for a couple years. Then started self-medicating because he was having all kinds of issues etc. I knew something was going down with his mental health because he had picture albums of his time there. Most at first were just buddies sitting around at a firebase after a mission or patrol drinking beer etc. By the second tour it was pics of actual warfare related stuff. Last tour the pics were mostly bodies etc. He went in writing letters and by his third tour every couple mos. he"d send home an envelope with just 35mm film in it. He said being at Bryce was as bad as anything he suffered through on his tours in Vietnam. He literally escaped Bryce and came home. They called on the 11th day and asked if he was home. We had not seen him in mos. because they refused family to visit him. He showed up about 6 mos. later. He still won't tell us where he was for 6mos other than he "went west" and they never checked with us again. He has been ok ever since showing up. Rertired from a very good job. He does tend to not speak often. When he used to talk all the time. On occasion he will drink with some of us and then start talking about how bad it was at Bryce. I spent about 9yrs working for a certain mental health facility that covers 7 counties. I have to say that things are better than Bryce was back then. But still way subpar to what they should be. And once they get their hands into someone they never let go because they represent money. Thats it...money. I quit because of it. Tried to bring attention to it and got nowhere. They used to have an old hospital they bought in Vernon Alabama. People would refuse to be sent there to work due to what was going on. Building is still there. They went a different route eventually I guess to stay ahead of the possibility of getting in trouble . I could write a book about the corruption lack of care and abuse going on with this organization. But people dont care as long as "those crazy folks are locked up and not in my back yard"

On my channel I focused on motorcycle traveler mostly but over the years I included exploring abandoned, historic and interesting places. I ride to little known places then explore and document the history. I picked up a few subscribers doing this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3bIeJZng7qVZs0si=d1wWwRymiOxfFf_g
