The saddest thing about this show is that you have to possess a certain amount of knowledge in history in order to fully appreciate it... DANG IT I get the feeling old cartoon network shows were made just to make us feel like constant nostalgics.

+zeldaed123 iirc in one episode they explained that time was like a rope that gradually unravels as time goes on, hence past events get screwed up in the future

Now that you mention it, that is possible. I sometimes wonder why these historic figures were suddenly doing all of these things for no reason. I know the first episode explained why this is happening but I've always felt there was another source to all of this too

Basically Time Squad is a group who returns to the past to straighten out the "what went wrong" in that era. For example Edgar Allen Poe feeling nice all cheerful wouldn't create his greatest works because of his disposition or that Napoleon couldn't conquer the world because his wife wanted him to do house chores while she wanted to do what she wants.

Its quite funny and surprising that a verse in this promo says "All Hail Caesar!...What a slob!" when actually and metaphorically several Roman Emperors and governors in the few hundred years after the real Julius Caesar were just like that

This series takes place in a peaceful utopia in 100 million AD. All of the nations merged into one. There are no longer any problems to solve. No pollution and no wars. I wish they put this show back into syndication because this is one of the best shows that I have ever seen on Cartoon Network.

Time Squad was funny as all hell. Someone needs to do something, as this era of mediocrity and staleness needs to end. These older shows both children and their parents could enjoy, while many today are truly mindless nonsense with no original or intelligent writing.

I really don't understand why they bailed on this show, it was educational. It taught basic history. My personal favorite epidose is when Einstein drops out of math and science, to produce and sell super cheap used cars. that often blew up

I was watching a commercial compilation and suddenly this came on and... holy shit. I will admit, I never liked this show as a kid because I didn't like shows that had that flat 2D art and animation (though I've learned to appreciate it over time, even more since it's better than pastel beanfaces and model rigging), and honestly, everything else was boring to me, but the one thing I absolutely loved about it was this promo. You know you're doing something right when you can market a boring show this well.
