I mean, at first Adventure Time, Regular Show, Amazing World of Gumball, Steven Universe and other good Cartoon Network show after 2010 are great thing that come out after 2009 nightmare but now, one by one of good cartoon are getting cancel and replace with awful reboot and just painfull to watch to see your old cartoon show end up like that...

Cartoon Network used to respect its legacy. There are so many references to old school shows in these bumpers! The grandparents of all our favorite shows were Tom and jerry, scooby doo, and all the other Hannah Barbarah cartoons and so much homage was payed to them. Cartoon Network used to do all kinds of crossovers too. Now Cartoon Network has forgotten its legacy and seldom ever does crossovers (except for uncle grandpa which made reference to many of the shows of the early to mid 2000s)

People need to understand, CN City was expensive as fuck to make! The entire network had to develop new bumpers for every season, which took up more money and time. And at the end of it, Cartoon Network decided to usher out more cheap bumps (2006 "Yes!" Era Bumps). I honestly don't blame CN for ending the era, it was too expensive to maintain. It was so bad, that CN had to bump out Live-Action shows and import series from Canada, because it was cheaper than making an original series. Cartoon Network is bigger now than it was 12 years ago, so maybe they could resurrect the era, maybe they could get some outside sources to make the bumps this time around so it's cheaper. I don't know. One things for sure though, CN City was awesome, and gave us a really creative and cool idea, where we could see our favorite characters interacting with each other in a gorgeous CGI world. Regardless if they bring it back or not, CN should be very proud of what they made.

TheTimon64 Oh be quiet. CN's current line-up is the strongest it's been since the original Cartoon Cartoons. I love Camp Lazlo, Foster's, and My Gym Partner's a Monkey. But they are very weak shows compared to Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball, and Steven Universe.
@TheTimon648 жыл бұрын
kcdawg13 really now...-_- teen titans go reruns all day everyday is strong? alrite then lol just look at tomorrow's sched and see how many times TTGO pops up. its laughable. oh and when i said "meh" i meant in terms in variety not quality. I like most of new shows too but the varity can't compare from the old days..not to mention the quality bumpers like this vid or quality blocks and specal events like CN theather, CCF christmas, halloween, Fridays, Mugizi, the big game: bugs vs daffy, tweety vs seleveter, etc power hour, Cn Summer, Toonami (Toonami is on Adultswim nowadays so doesn't count )etc.

Froylan Diaz The shows have no geniune uniquieness like it used to, of course its still unique but cartoon network is expanding out to other professional animators who star shows who are really crappy.. Regular show is unique but Its made to appearl to the older audiences out there. hence the old fashion stuff. Adventure time is better then people think. but then there are remade shows like teen titans go that doesn't make sense at all.

The city era of Cartoon Network was so much fun to look at when you went into a commercial. Unless you saw repeats of the same scene, you just never knew what was going to happen next in between commercials. I hope it's not just nostalgia talking, but I think these bumpers are really ingenious. The whole idea behind them is really creative, and offers a lot of shorts and gags that can be entertaining on their own--something you don't really see in network bumpers anymore, as far as I'm aware. Even better is when you know the shows these characters all come from; getting to see characters from different shows casually interact and play off one another is a real treat. In addition, I love just how atmospheric it all is. Whether it was a deliberate choice or one imposed by time or budget restrictions, I think that the many shots of just the scenery or a brief glimpse at a character's day add so much. They make the gag bumpers even better, because the world just feels very much alive and autonomous even when there isn't something funny going on.
