Great job! What a lovely tune. I especially liked the low tuning. The deep sound really fits the tune.

You get a really nice clean sound on your slide, great tune.
@BennyBleu Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I must say, the 140 year old worn down frets help with that greasy slide sound!

Hey man, this is very cool. Are you sliding on a drop thumb at 0.26? Trying to get my head around it!
@BennyBleuАй бұрын
Yep, that's exactly it. catching the third string on a drop thumb at the 2nd fret and sliding that up to 4th fret

Thanks for listening :) I've been playing clawhammer banjo for just over 10 years. I've been playing music since about 6 yrs old.

very nice job, however the Em should be C maj. from the original Blaine Smith source
@BennyBleu Жыл бұрын
I love the Blaine Smith recording because that chord is ambiguous! I think it's a Cmaj7 so it has a C in the bass, but it also has that maj7 tone (a B) making it so colorful and melancholy. So I substitute the whole chord with a vi chord to grab that B note for fun!
