Another awesome hunt, Kurt and Brad. I think Kurt won all 3 bets (oldest coin, most indians with the smashed one, and oldest military item - if you can't date both objects, I think it should go to the first one found). It's so awesome that you found the 1803 largie - wow - over 200 years old! Thanks for taking the camera along for us all to watch the results. I am interested to see if you put the Deus to the test in future videos, but I know it's hard to put the AT Pro or the CTX on the sidelines to try.

Last summer I found an 1881 indian head penny and i thought that was great, but after seeing you guys digging all those old coins mine was nothing compared to your hunt. I've got a field I call Walmart too...but that's because it's next to and part of Walmart haha. In the last week it's given up half a trime, a merc and a bunch of Indians including a 5 fatty spill. My first week ever detecting, back in April, I pulled out an 1821 Capped Bust dime for my first ever silver there as well. My landlords own the field and I'm the Asset Protection manager for the Walmart. I've got free range to keep hammering it! Keep the vids coming I'm learning a lot...just need me one of those NEL coils now.

Remember in the early 1900's people did not carry that much money on them hence, no silver. Not like today where people have $3 bucks of change in their pockets. Most people had less than 50 cents on them at all times. Kids had cents, adults had a few nickels. If you were rich you would have maybe 5 bucks. $20 bucks could buy a new record player or a horse. No one carried around 20 dollar gold pieces. They were used for large purchases and life savings or hordes. Keep @ it and HH !!

This 76 year old lady loves your videos and the camaraderie between you fellas. This world is a hard place to live in right now and the fun you have with each other makes this world and this old lady happy.
