It's hard to believe that she and Fred Astaire were in 'Flying Down to Rio', their first movie, in 1933 also. That pairing really put her on the map! Thank you for sharing this movie with us!

The guy playing the other reporter is an actor I remember seeing many times in old movies. I like him a lot - and he’s damn good. Commands the screen (as does Ginger Rogers :). I just saw him in another movie as a completely different character - a serious, strait-laced, stand-up guy, an investigator maybe with the police. He “got the girl” in that one, too. Have to look him up. :) 🎬🎭 Oh, that’s Lyle Talbot. What d’ya know? 💫

Rival newspaper reporters pat Morgan ( ginger rogers) and Ted Rand ( Lyle talbot) find themselves unraveling the mystery behind the mysterious death of the millionaire philanthropist who fell from his penthouse balcony! Ginger rogers and Lyle talbot appeared in the thirteenth guest in 1932-that was the second comedy-mystery film they were together in! That flick was good to watch! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Ol' Lyle had a long, yet undistinguished career. He spent a sad "weekend" in the 50s with an Ed Wood movie or two, before coming back from the grave with a number of visits to TV. I recall him doing a few guests on the Beverly Hillbillies before winding down to his last uncredited role in "Amazon Women on the Moon" in the 80s. (wiki) He was always good in his roles, and quite reliable.

Best Ginger Rogers film is KITTY FOYLE. Anyone know it. Her eyes sparkled all through it, kind of as if a tear had always been there. Love Ginger with all her talents. God Bless Her.

It ain't "covid"; That's the communist chinese name forced upon the 'w.h.o.' to shift blame for their intentionally released viral pandemic on the West. Lay the blame where it lies!

Also a great many movies and game shows and various entertainments. Were sponsored by the cigarette companies and as we all have seen the actors withcigarettes in their hands. And this is the reason you'll see most of all actors died of cancer.

Yep. Though they were known to be unhealthy for over 100 years (contrary to revised history) and were considered a filthy habit by many in the 1930's, that was no match for the inexpensive, approachable product & extreme marketing that drove cash-flow and ads **everywhere**. They were marketed as a sign of adulthood, sophistication and even a bad-goy/bad-girl image. For some cigs and their accessories were as much a part of driving that personal image as a hat or mustache.

Dammit I'm halfway through this and wishing the dialogue had more snap to it. Ginger Rogers does good work when she's got good lines. Edit: "Comedy horror movie?" Who labels these videos? Evidently somebody who doesn't watch them first.

It was done by someone digitally. Another film, _The World Gone Mad_ has identical bacon cooking in the background. Both films are here but they were altered way before being uploaded here. I found a clean version of _Shriek_ uploaded in 2015 but going back to 2004 I couldn’t find a clean one on KZbin for _Mad_ . There is a clean copy on Amazon Prime. Still, a clean version of _Shriek_ in 2015 doesn’t mean the Mad Bacon hadn’t already done his work destroying it earlier. I guess I won’t be able to identify and fry Bacon for criminal mischief.
