Badflower has really been growing on me over the past few years. There one of the newer rock bands on the radio that really stands out. Their latest song "30" is so punchy and refreshing. Heading into my late 20's I feel it coming more and more lol

This band has so much to offer. Really need more of this type of resurgence in rock and alt music. For a better idea of their stuff though, I would recommend their live acoustic of the song "ghost" or some of their early stuff like "Mother Mary" or pre-record label version of this song.

Aloha! I started listening to your channel yesterday and have now gone down the rabbit hole. Your input is excellent and I love your feedback and musical knowledge. I have a few years in the music industry both live sound and studio, and education from some top producers and engineers in the country. Not enough to make a career, but just enough to ruin my casual listening for the rest of my life (you know what I'm talking about). You've helped me rediscover my love for music. As an old Tool fan (been listening since 1997, seen them three times live), and another old guy, it's fun watching you fall in love with them as well. I'm also a huge fan of prog and we'd probably get along well with a record player and talking for hours about music. How are you taking requests for songs and artists? You are getting overloaded with suggestions... I have a handful as well... I'd suggest starting a weekly poll. Anyway, I'm still listening and keep it up!

@@KeyOfGeebz Not knowing what you already know or have heard of, if any of these are unfamiliar my first suggestions would be: Nine Inch Nails - We're In This Together or Into The Void (from The Fragile album). Trent is a lesson in production and engineering himself throughout his career. Pretty Hate Machine / Broken era is crunchy and raw. The Fragile he really nails the engineering/studio. That's just the start of three decades of music. Primus - not sure where to start, maybe John The Fisherman since they start the song with YYZ on the Pork Soda album version... Southbound Pachyderm for a more traditional prog feel.. Les Claypool is an experience. He also covers the Pink Floyd Animal's album in a live set (Fearless Flying Frog Brigade with Les Claypool). Radiohead - I'm sure you already have tons of suggestions, but I''m 100% onboard with How To Disappear Completely. Radiohead could be a good lead for more videos since Nigel Godrich, their producer/engineer, is often considered the 6th member of the band. A new one, War on Drugs just released a highly produced live album (Live Drugs) that I am totally in love with. They would be today's version of Bruce Springsteen. Start with Red Eyes.

Aloha Key of Geebz! Song Request attempt (2 out ?) I recently subscribed to your channel and really enjoying it so far. I am mostly into prog rock / metal so it has been great to uncover some new artists (for example Plini) or listen to some additional stuff from artists I knew about (for example Tool). There is one artist I would love to hear your take on, less heavy than a lot of the stuff which gets covered but they have a few songs which are excellent. Probably falls into a bucket with genesis in terms of similarity (pastoral/folk/prog rock) but they have one song with an extended passage (which begins about a third of the way thru and builds to a crescendo) that I think would be much appreciated even for people who are into the heavier stuff. Guitars, keyboards, vocals, brass, strings all coming together. Song is called 'East Coast Racer' by 'Big Big Train' and it is the live version here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZKkY5WDgdt3aMk If you want to get a feel for the musicanship and check out an alternative song (more mainstream pop and pastoral feel than east coast racer though) so the above is a first listen there is another good live one from the same concert called 'Victorian Brickwork' below (but I would recommend East Coast Racer for review for the subscribers!) kzbin.info/www/bejne/jomYiWRvlq2NaK8 The band doesnt seem well known but hopefully I get some thumbs up from people who know the song :-) Many Thanks and I wil continue to keep up with the videos and find new music!
