Hadiya's part in this song is in the Darbari Kannada raga which uses a scale with pretty much the same notes as the Aeolian mode: C D E♭ F G A♭ B♭ C (any note can be assigned as C, and it can also be notated as Sa Re ga Ma Pa dha ni Ṡa where lowercase means flat and a dot above means the higher octave). The most important note is D / Re and the second most important is G / Pa. The ascending scale in Darbari Kannada is C D E♭, E♭ F G A♭ B♭ C (or S R g, g M P d n Ṡ) and descending is C A♭ B♭ G F G (F)E♭, (F)E♭ F (C)D C (or Ṡ d n P M P (M)g, (M)g M (S)R, S). It's a profoundly solemn and serious raga which I think comes across in this performance very well. Also the meaning of the title is "Say "He,"" where "He" is God. If you do any more South Asian music reviews in the future it would be REALLY interesting to hear your reactions based on some info on the raga and its scales / notes / emotional impact which you can sometimes find pretty easily if you google the song name + "raga."

I don't go out of my way to comment often but I have some song recommendations that I would truly love to see you break down. They're quite different from a lot of the stuff you've done so far. Bridge by Amon Tobin Lady and Man by Khruangbin Black Flag and Lady Bountiful by The Cactus Channel Atlantic Oscillations by Quantic I would love few things more than to see you break some of these down (especially Bridge). I haven't seen anyone else react to them, let alone break them down, and that kills me, as I think they're all extremely well crafted songs with interesting compositions. They're kinda hard to classify genre wise but there's definitely a lot of jazz and funk influence in there. I really hope to see some of these broken down on your channel one day! Coke studio is the show which is producing high quality perfect music from a long time. they include all Great singers and perform songs with them, and every single musician out there is a legend in his field. so the music quality is always awesome. Whereas Nescafe basement includes new upcoming youngsters which are not popular , Zulfi is the Director/composer of these songs and he is such a Great composer. They also try to focus on Instruments and give extra time to musicians only. i.e there will be a part of song where only musicians will perform not the singer. so the give credit to musicians.

One thing I would like to mention that if someone singing classical especially Hindustani and Karnataki classical musical can you prefer not to pause, what she's singing is pure classical thing. And here we say that music put us relm of liberation. We see music as spiritual journey. And here classical are made upon that. If you take pauses it's ruin the experience. It's just suggestions not for all kinds of music just for the classical one.

Say, just HU (God)* Keep dreaming with empty eyes Do what your heart says but listen to everyone With broken breaths, keep fighting, keep moving forward piece by piece keep collecting your fate. When soul and body says HU Even the summer hot dry wind feels pleasant and cold Shed tears while prostrating Be a wanderer in spiritual ecstasy [leave all your worries behind]. Say HU! In prostration why think of someone else Why is your heart broken and in pain Why are you? Why you exist? Contemplate! Fight the war within Stun everyone around you Make a small world for yourself Be a wanderer in spiritual ecstasy [leave all your worries behind] Say, HU. ALLAH HU!

Love your reaction to this. Just to say this is a spiritual song , in the genre of sufi kalam. These songs are totally dedicated to God /Allah. Most are about shaking off the dust of this world and devoting your life/ your heart / your love to your Beloved ( Allah) . There is no greater love for a Muslim and this is the spiritual ecstasy. Hu is “ The Divine Presence “ ie Allah. Most qawaal ( singers) actually get into their own trance like state because often the love for Allah is real Instrument was harmonium btw 😊

Patiently waiting for the circle back to Tool lol. I would check out the Holy Trinity (Disposition, Reflection, and Triad) in that order.

The song is about "Actualise thy self". Why it's lyrics and little girl singer is amazing? The girl is the descendant of Prophet's family i.e Syed. So she is technically not Indian but a Pakistani with Arab genes. Lyrics are in Urdu language and Urdu is a modern language mixture of Persian, Arabic, Turkish, Turkic languages. These languages are used in typical Sufi and religious songs but average Urdu is more similar to Hindi than Persian.

nevermind kinda commented early without getting to the part where you said you don't listen to the lyrics and break down the production instead

I think a great video would be going back to Loathe and checking out I Let It in and It Took Everything. It's such a nuanced track and I think you will actually enjoy it
