Dimash has the most beautiful voice and emotional delivery. This song was popular 27 yrs ago and it was performed very very differently than what Dimash does hear. Igor is a very famous Russian composer who came out of retirement to work with Dimash. This is his song and he and Dimash together is phenomenal. They have done several pieces that were specifically written for Dimash - 'Olimpico', 'Your Love', 'Passione', 'I Miss You', and Dimash has performed many other songs of Igor Krutoys, 'Love is Like a Dream', 'Love of Tired Swans', 'Mademoiselle Hyde' and more. The man on the Piano is none other than Igor Krutoy, the famous Russian Composer that heard Dimash's voice and came out of retirement to compose songs just for Dimash - like Ogni Pietra (Italian) which was made just for Dimash and the Olympics where he sang it at the opening ceremony. I think you've hit on the key element. He is an old soul and my guess is been reincarnated many times and been working on getting to this level, this lifetime for Lord only knows how long. I subscribe to the Edgar Cayce Paradigm of reincarnation. Namely, that we come back every hundred or so years often are born into the same family as we've been with before; sometimes we're male, sometime female but, we NEVER ever go into animals or bugs as the concept has been corrupted in India. Karmic consequences of lives well spent - in centuries past - good and bad - stay with us over the eons of time we all have before our immortal selves.

The first time I heard this song I was entranced. When he got to the Ave Maria part, my exact words were "He sings like an angel". I still feel this way after hearing it 100's of times. Always the goosebumps. I enjoy your honest reactions and look forward to more.

Opening your horizon about music - this is exactly what fascinates people so much about this young man. The stunning voice is just the beginning as by listening to him you suddenly learn about music styles you never listened before, you learn about techniques and styles other singers and it's not all there are languages - suddenly you easily recognize them and can even sing along in Chinese, Russian, Kazakh... You learn about culture in there countries. His versatility draws in people who listen to rock, classic, pop, traditional music, even rap from teenagers to people in their 90s from every corner of the world making the fanbase absolutely unique. He is a surprisingly kind and very respectful young man and his fans love this about him and are like him or try to be.

I would HIGHLY recommend his performance of "Samaltau" for the 2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival. It's much more of a stripped back feel, just him, a couple of musicians, and a backing track, and has a more traditional/native/cultural sound.

This was a really good reaction! What you say is worth listening to and watching you react is pure joy. On Spotify he unfortunaltely got 2 accounts. He got one album "iD" (Dimash Kudaibergen), my personal favourite on that album being "War and Peace". On his newest account (Dimash Qudaibergen) I recommend "Aqquym" (My Swan), a good choice if you want to hear him sing in his native language Kazakh. The maestro playing the piano is Igor Krutoy (ee-gor Crewtoy) a very famous Russian composer. He only plays for Dimash when it is a song that he has personally written. He heard Dimash perform a song with A Train, and came out of semiretirement to work with him. Salmaltau is a Kazakh song, Dimash sings in his studio, it is a folk song about a Kazakh man who is forced to leave his country to march with the Soviet army to fight in their war. The composition uses some native Kazakh instruments that are absolutely haunting. Also, a newer song is "River of Love" which is primarily a musical song where Di plays the Kazakh instrument the Dombra (very well) and with only a keyboard to accompany him it is a lovely song. In Norwegian it's called _Gåsehud_ and he gives me it, every single time! He is the best singer I have ever heard and not only that butt his _INNLEVELSE_ my god... It's also a Norwegian word as I'm not sure if there is an English word that depicts it quite like _innlevelse_ does. Directly translated _innlevelse_ means inside living, butt it of course means to live what you are doing. Mean the words you are singing and oh my god does he ever. Guess it also goes under stage performance ? He is a performer no doubt. Belongs on the stage and in peoples ears and hearts forever ❤️

Funny that you mentioned that you hoped that was the sound you heard if you ever reached heaven.. That same section of the song... 'Ave Maria... ave amour...' always makes me cry, in a good way. My mom passed away in May, joining my dad, who died 7 yrs ago. She was so ready, she had missed him so much. When I hear that part, I envision her greeting mother Mary (she was a devout Catholic), and finally being reunited with her only love. I wish I had played this for her in her final hours. Sorry, I know it's a long and personal story, but your commentary made me want to share. ❤ Hope you don't mind. Btw, we call them 'goosebumps' here, and I get them every time. You're a whole lot younger than I am and I only discovered Dimash four years ago and plan to be around for at least another 20 listening to him. I have seen Dimash CDs available on eBay. They aren't cheap but they contain a lot of music. He finished #1 in requests on MTV's Friday Livestream again today. That's something like 15 of the last 18 weeks that he has finished at the top.
