For those who like information about Dimas' songs: Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. Moreover, in the final part he added, with an oriental technique (from the Kazakhstan region). The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band name is A'Studio (Kazakh pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The dead singer (who Dimash was a fan of) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poetess Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the long-haired keyboardist, who we see in the video that accompanies Dimash. Hugs from Brazil! This was still early in his career, his voice is even deeper now. One thing I would advise is never think you can predict what he's going to do. That's something you can probably do with other artists but not with Dimash. It's what makes him so unique in that he doesn't have a genre or a standard way of singing, he has a vocal toolbox and will pull out whatever fits the song, not what will show off his voice. A number of composers will write songs for him that go through almost all of his vocal range but Dimash himself doesn't focus on his range, he's often said that he wishes people wouldn't pay so much attention to that so when he writes for himself, it's about the music, the tone, the dynamics, he may use a high note here and there but so subtly that you almost miss it. Like Omir, i almost missed that halfway through the song he's in a very soft soprano but was blown away by the dynamics and the shocking ending.

You haven't come close to hearing his lowest register yet. I would suggest Stranger, his New Wave 2021 performance. The "reverberation" is a type of throat singing, sometimes colloquially referred to as a goat trill, is often heard in Eastern and Asian cultural vocalizations.

"The song Sinful Passion, was first performed in 1998 by the Kazakh group A’STUDIO and gained leading positions in the CIS charts. Sinful love soon visibly materialized in the clip with soloist Batyrkhan Shukenov. The talented vocalist left the band in 2000. Without the lead singer, “Sinful Passion”, recorded with the help of an English producer, lay in obscurity for nearly 20 years, never becoming a worldwide hit until Baigali Serkebaev seized it. He offered Dimash to play it in 2018, twenty years after its premiere. The words of the song are the inspiration of the famous poet and composer, People's Artist of Russia and Ukraine Ilya Reznik. Group A - Studio in 2018 celebrated its 30th anniversary. For his great contribution to the development of the culture of the republic, Baigali Serkebaev was awarded the title of Honored Art Worker of Kazakhstan (here he plays the keyboard). Dimash can be safely called a magician. By the power of his voice and talent, the composition about sinful love came to life out of nowhere."

Thank you for your great reaction👍❤️. I’m sure someone mentioned he can hit notes in almost 8 octaves and sings constantly in 6😅. Though not always in one song. Mostly anyway 😅, right? That was not a joke. These middle easter sound (melisma) he does in one or another song. It’s really awesome. The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. If you really want to see how far Dears can go with their flowers, then you have to watch Slavic Bazaar in Belarus 2020 Love Is Like A Dream. It was one of the first performances after the pandemic and he sang here as a guest. Slavic Bazaar is an international festival of arts and a contest for young singers, which he won in 2015. I laugh so hard every time I see the video. It's just great. You almost couldn’t see him for all the flowers and more and more came. But you have to watch the video to the end. That’s what I always advise you to do with Dimash videos. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZabo6uVZ5dmd6c 23 seconds in one breath with riffs and runs. Unbelievable. Btw he didn‘t won the Voice. He became second in The Singer competition in China 2017, because of not being a Chinese. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2018. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest. The musicians who accompany him are called A-Studio. It's a Kazakh band that wrote this song in 1998. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion much better 😄. This song was in Russian, a language he speaks fluently. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. Please react to Olimpico from his Arnau concert in 2019 next. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war😅.! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯 kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpyzhGmqbZmknZY Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

You are exaggerating a little: Usually Dimash sings in 4 octaves, sometimes 4.5, often even less. The rest are effect tones.
@nicevinci_dear
@nicevinci_dear Жыл бұрын
@@mmsminimalmusic3110 What I mean to say is that while he hits the notes of almost 8 octaves, his songs are generally within 6 octaves. Of course not in a single song (but in Stranger it’s 5 octaves, as far as I know. Although that doesn’t matter in the end and isn’t the most important thing with Dimash.

You’ve still got lots of amazing Dimash songs to listen to. Yes please do Ogni Pietra. And then have sone fun watching Dimash in the Be With Me in English, mv. Some more surprises in that one. Then maybe El Amor Enti from his Almaty concert. It’s epic even by Dimash’s standards. Then I think you will be ready for The Story of One Sky 14 min mv in English, which was a three year project for Dimash, composed it, acted in it, sang in it, wrote the screenplay. It is thought provoking and magnificent.

I absolutely love his baritone/tenor operatic tone, just so rich, and you mentioned the clarity, it’s like tapping a crystal wineglass. Sinful Passion is always a favorite. The part that you mentioned that you hadn’t heard before is a traditional vocalise sung to honor someone who has passed away, the original singer with this band A-Studio. He also uses this technique in The Story Of One Sky, a composition of Dimash’s, generally not recommended until someone has multiple exposure’s to Dimash because they won’t realize that he is doing it all vocally, but you have had enough I believe at this point. Understanding that Dimash is an Ambassador Of Peace is also important, Dimash performed The Story Of One Sky at a convention of Religious Leaders, of course the Pope was there, and they met. If you decide to venture into The Story Of One Sky, it’s a 3 year project of Dimash’s, he composed the music and wrote the script for the video, slightly over 13 minutes long, definitely not light hearted, extremely powerful. Thank you Nick for coming back to Dimash, he and his family suffered tremendous loss last week, his paternal grandfather passed away, it is tradition in Dimash’s culture for the first born grandchild to be raised by the paternal grandparents, so Dimash called him Papa. Dimash has a concert this coming Saturday the 24th, it will be an incredibly emotional concert.😢❤ I would suggest Dimash’s latest song Omir, Dimash composed the song and lyrics, it was just released on May 24, Dimash’s birthday, many Dears feel that when Dimash wrote this song, he knew of his grandfather’s impending health issues.

Thank you for your reaction! Dimash’s talent is mind blowing 🤯 A'Studio was invited by Igor Krutoy to participate (individual concert) in the 2018 edition of the New Wave festival. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalize, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give me) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. ❤️🎤🔝🌹🌹👏👏

I would always do the versions that are on Dimash's channel (for a first time view of a particular piece anyway.) Other versions may have their own specific reasons to be watched, but I figure that the videos on Dimash's channel are the performances that he personally approves of, and in any case, the artist deserves recognition for his work on his own website. His low range is beautiful--rich and warm. And he has developed it even further than what he does here in recent years. You might enjoy El Amor en Ti--a recent work of his (he wrote the music in addition to singing the piece.) He sings extended portions of the song in various parts of his range, some of it in a more operatic style, others more poppy.

It always surprises me that western commentators do not recognize oriental motifs that Dimash is using. Dimash is combining successfuly opera and modern music but he always adds some of his beloved oriental themes. They add mystery and a hypnotic quality. He is one of a kind.

This is one of the most fascinating performances of Dimash's in that: -You get to see the bold man with the white shirt in the front row give Dimash a standing ovation. That's Igor Krutoy, the retired super successful Russian composer who came out of retirement after this performance to work with Dimash. After this, you get to see him many times on the same stage as Dimash, playing the piano. He also worked with many amazing artists, including Lara Fabian who Dimash idolized as he was growing up. He got to do several duets with her and covered several of her songs. -You get to see how humble and gracious Dimash is (the way he thanked the original band that wrote and performed this song), no matter how big he gets. -You have never gotten to see how low Dimash's voice can go (Olympico, produced by Igor Krutoy is very low, but the lowest is "Stranger" from 2021), nor the highest he can get (D8-off the keyboard of a piano) - that would be a live performance of "Unforgettable Day" at Gakku.

I think LOVE IS LIKE A DREAM is your next stop. It’s where Dimash started playing more with his lower register in around 2018/2019. Enjoy!!

You can say that this is already an "archival" recording. His absolutely powerful and unwavering presence and confidence on stage, then and now, shows what a great musician and showman he is. It is his strength and confidence in his skills that allows him to take us with the song wherever he wants and the way he wants! #Dimash absorbs what is useful, rejects what is not, adds what is unique "His". Simplicity is the key to greatness... Dimash already has this key.

If you want to hear LOW, you've got to react to his song "Stranger"! He's actually grown as a singer which given his earlier performances is already surreal!
