Yes, we all want The Grudge, but Reflection is not a bad substitute! Thank You!

I know a lot of people have already said this, but I wish you would've listened to this in conjunction with Disposition and Triad. Still very happy you reacted to Reflection though, thank you! I hope you get to listen to the three songs together at some point, they're epic! Excited to hear your thoughts on The Grudge and Ticks and Leeches. I hope you'll do the Salival version of Pushit at some point as well, it's not on Spotify or their official youtube, however, it can be found on youtube. Thanks as always for the great videos! :)

Please do "The Patient." It's so nuanced and so much happens in 7:15 or so, it's unreal. A lyrical breakdown of this song on patreon might also be a fruitful thing to pursue. I've been reading up on on interpretations of this song, and there are a vast array of them, but many people seem to agree that there's the possibility that he might be talking, at least, in part, about the challenge of staying in a band or whether to move on..... Having carved out an impressive career in the music industry yourself, I thought you might have insights on this concept that could benefit your viewing audience, of which, I'm at the forefront....

@@LucidDreamz831 I've been told I was imbued with a large quantity of this substance at birth. As a former tech support person, I was often told I had the "patience of a saint." My superiors hated me for this, as it affected my stats... Meh!

And, regarding my humble request.... I will be most patient, and eternally grateful, if my notion tree ever bears fruit... If not, I'm still cool with it! Ahhhhhhhlohaaaa!

Thank you so much for doing this song. This "Reflection" journey has helped me through multiple dark places throughout my life. If you do go back and ready Maynards lyrics I think you will see why. It's a journey as you say. I believe this song falls in the middle of Disposition and Triad on the album. And all of them flow together real nicely. Triad is a musical celebration of finishing the journey of not only Reflection, but the Lateralus album as a whole. Definitely worth a listen. I love the Tool videos. Looking forward to more! P.s. I believe it's Maynard playing that bow instrument in this track.

Geebz, a recommendation since I love this channel: make a Google Sheet (spreadsheet) that simply lists band name in one column, song in another column, maybe even date of video in a third column (but not really necessary). You can make the spreadsheet view only, and link it in your descriptions. Update it after you make each video. Then, fans can sort through and look for what bands/songs you've done easily (and see when it was done if you do the date column). It would make the experience much better for everyone, and would be minimal work for you once the initial backlog had been loaded onto there. Also, PLEASE look into Daydream XI! Tiny, unknown Brazilian prog metal band that are uber talented! Painted Smile, Death of Art, Circus of the Tattered and Torn would be my first suggestions!

thanks for sharing this band's name - didn't know them, although it's not my favourite style, i was really impressed.
@dansourile54443 жыл бұрын
@@gbantel that's awesome and refreshing to hear! Usually when a band doesn't play someone's preferred style, they think "it sucks", haha. I really enjoy their mix of heavy and strong melody. The vocalist is really talented too (and writes all the music himself).

Being a drummer myself I obviously have the utmost respect for what Danny does, but I absolutely love the pocket he lays down in this song. And the patients he has with it to wait so long before he really starts to open it up.

I love you! Lol. So, I am such a Tool freak... Anything Maynard as well, but Tool is on the top of the Maynard list for me. And Lateralus is my favorite album overall as far as having an experience from beginning to end. I am 44 and first heard Tool back when MTV still had the "M" to it. I have 13 tattoos and the only band tattoos I have is Tool. The way *tool* is written on this album where a lot of people would put tattoos of barbed wire - across my upper arm. I love it. My 18 year old son is a music lover and guitar player. He made me start watching your channel. He had just told me that you react to music as a professional musician. I said "yes but does he have any Tool?" He just smiled and I knew.. I have been hooked for about a month now and I absolutely love your authenticity and your appreciation for bada$$Ness 🙂🙏💙 I'm very poor currently due to becoming a widow, but when things get better I will be a supporter. I'm on KZbin all day, everyday, mostly in the true crime community. I am obsessed with certain cases. As much as I love it, as one can imagine, true crime can get depressing. And I do keep my KZbin on autoplay, and just when I need it, you come up and fix my mood. I LOVE that you seem to love Tool. And I adore your disposition 😊

Howsit! Finally made it through the Tool playlist. It was a Jinjer reaction that brought me and Tool that kept me here. I have been a Tool fan since 97, would've been sooner but I lived in a podunk town in the Midwest that only had classic rock, country, and top 100 radio stations. Led Zeppelin is my #1 band of all time with Tool as #2. I love your breakdowns and authenticity and I wish I lived in Hawai'i super jealous. Congrats on the amazing success of the channel and looking forward to more videos. Mahalo for what you do.

I was not sure about this song the first time I hard it, but it grew on me until it became almost an obsession. There are a lot of little nuances through out this song rhythmically, melodically, lyrically and allegorically. Another Tool song that did this for me was "Right in Two". Both are amazing in concert as well. The concerts before this album were energetic and the crowd on the floor would crush you if you weren't engaged in the energy and movement of the crowd. These songs still have an amazing energy, but was more hypnotic.

The Tool breakdowns are how I found you and why I subbed, and I have enjoyed every single one, as well as the other bands you've decided to listen to. But I'd love to see more Mastodon breakdowns, particularly from Blood Mountain, Crack the Skye, The Hunter & Once More Round the Sun. A lot of great listening hours contained on those albums. If you're ever able to get around to that, it would be fantastic. Thanks for all you do.
