Your reaction was EXACTLY like mine, haha! It's so great to see REAL musicians appreciating how very talented and diverse music can still be out there. I'm allergic to today's popular "creations" and have little respect for the simplicity and mundane repetition that is so richly rewarded by the masses. That being said, I have to constantly remind myself that 99% of consumers just don't hear music the same way that this guy, myself, and others do. We also agree on lyrical content. I could care less about the message if there's not a statement also made sonically. Good to know we're not extinct yet!

Watched this video last night and ended up staying up until 4 just listening through their songs and adding to my playlist. One of my bands already, the fact that they aren’t much bigger shows everything wrong with the music world of today. Kin Etik (the singer) has a really interesting vocal style where he slides between notes rather than holding them still and it really fits well with the changes in key and melody they like to implement. You can hear so many different genres and influences within their style and sound, from Faith no more to Opeth etc. Their clean transitions remind me of System of a Down

If I may toss in a few of my all time recommendations :) "Supremacy Our Kind" or "United Alliance" - Pagan's Mind. "Silently" - Vanden Plas. "TowerBlock" -Frost* (there's a live version around, it's rad.) The first 2 are bands that were around during the beginning of Prog metal as we know it today. And while their music wasn't as diverse or as Impressive from a pure technical standpoint as Dream Theater or Symphony x's early contributions, they have a lot of heart and some EXCELLENT song writing, especially Vanden Plas. They know how to end a song. Peace!
