Stepping outdoors for a morning stroll through the garden with coffee in hand is a daily calming ritual and a reminder of the garden chores not to forget.

Such beautiful trees and inspiration! I'm relatively new to Bonsai but the smaller side of things is definitely where my interest is (big trees seem somewhat unattainable). I have been surprised how mean you can be to cotoneaster too and they still keep going! I've also rooted some cuttings and looking forward to making a proper Mame! Really enjoy the videos, Thankyou!

Funny thing is, smaller bonsai are usually harder to maintain in the long run than bigger bonsai. Eventually, your small bonsai is just going to need to be bigger, for it's health. Welcome to the hobby!

@@sanitychelleThanks :) it's definitely a welcoming hobby! I have been told a lot it's harder to do smaller bonsai and do agree you can't really stop anything getting bigger over time. I'm keeping all my little little trees on gravel tray beds to help and it's so satisfying creating something really miniature!

Another great tree in your collection. What is the ideal place for growing cotoneaster?

An ideal place is a sunny place, but with partial shade during midday on summer hot days for small trees. Else, they are pretty tolerant.
