i'm from the damn city. big nasty concrete scab. a concrete kid i be. pittsburgh punk. and this shit takes me back. i don't know where the hell to, but it surely takes me back. makes me feel very comfortable. very satisfied. like i'm in the presence of deeply loved ones, no matter where i am. my whole self is smiling when i hear this record. all their stuff rocks, but this record kills. any music which does that goes to my grave with me. tapping my toes you bet i'll be. thank you, boys

The farthest I've ever been to the South was North Carolina, but these guys do it bring to me. Melody, lyrics, instrumental skill: all of that in high quality. Their penultimate track sounds as an existential-spritual poem.

I saw em live once, years back... One of my top 3 concerts ever... I saw Grateful Dead, I saw Jethro Tull, I saw the first 4 or 7 Lolapaloosa.,. I saw Ladysmith Black Mombasso... Music is as close as I've been to God

They were just kids too. My gosh to confidence (arrogance?) to put out THAT album at THAT age. It's truly amazing and wonderful. Sad to see what the band has become, but so many good memories.

When I was like 12 (13 years ago) these guys opened for Mumford and Sons, my dumb ass basically ignored them because I only wanted to hear Mumford and Sons. Looking back, OCMS is 10x more fun to listen too, can't believe I missed my chance.

Folks, we are in a war and we need to each pick up something, anything, and make music. We need to turn off the appliances and go outside, have a fire that last all night and make music. If enough people play we will sing a song that no government can suppress, no propaganda can obscure. I pray for this my sweet lord.

Can't seem to get this one off of my ipod.... 27:33 Well my friend, I see your face so clearly Little bit tired, little worn through the years You sound nervous, you seem alone I hardly recognize your voice on the telephone In between I remember Just before we wound up broken down Drive out to the edge of the highway Follow that lonesome dead-end roadside sound [Chorus:] We're all in this thing together Walkin' the line between faith and fear This life don't last forever When you cry I taste the salt in your tears Well my friend, let's put this thing together And walk the path that worn out feet have trod If you wanted we can go home forever Give up your jaded ways, spell your name to God [Chorus] All we are is a picture in a mirror Fancy shoes to grace our feet All that there is is a slow road to freedom Heaven above and the devil beneath
