Me too. My grandparents Jackson and Nora Glaister of Heather Crescent, Pulrose gave me the best childhood memories. How I looked forward every year to the six week school holidays spent with them. I returned to school at the end of the holidays but my heart refused to go back.

Some of those pics are definitely of the Douglas that my father told me about - the Douglas he grew up in between the two world wars. That view from Douglas Head of the Steam Packet boats with their red funnels could almost be what I remember from the Sixties - but I bet it's earlier than that.
