However, if you crouch down and press the square button which would be the upward blow, it does not count as a jump and therefore the trophy can be simplified as much as possible.;)

Thanks, managed to get this with your route at the start of the game grabbed the cliff edge to the blue eco vent so I could open the door.

Uppercuts don't count as jumps. I can indeed confirm that. Did it just now 😁

Yeah I know now. Getting this trophy was the first thing I did when I first got the game. I didn't go anywhere else after I beated Geyser Rock. I wanted this video to be one of the first routes for the trophy on KZbin so I was going as fast as I can. Took me around 30 minutes to figure this out and probably around another 30 minutes to edit it. I uploaded it and looked at other videos about getting the trophy. At the time there was no uppercut routes, and then about 2 hours later I found out about the uppercut jumps not counting as jumps. I put all that effort in this video just to find out there was a way to jump as much as you want. I knew there would be other routes that would probably be easier and fewer jumps than this video being uploaded, but I wasn't expecting an unlimited jump. I ended up making another video showing that uppercuts don't count after I beat and platinumed this version and started on the PS5 version. That's why I put ( OLD easier way in the description) in the title. Lol, it kinda makes me wish they thought about uppercuts being jumps when they were making this trophy. That LeftNoobKiller guy that currently has the most views for getting this trophy probably feels the same since he wasn't uppercutting either in his video.

I've done this in different ways several times and it just doesnt work, may be because I tried to use debug mode for the first try, I think debug cancels trophies for your whole save even if you deactivate it but will have to check with other trophies

Okay yeah do not use debug it'll break your whole save with trophies

I actually heard on reddit that they banned debug mode for trophies on both the PS4 and PS5 versions of this game.

@@tyrantcynicalgaming Only for this new release however, but yeah I went on a different save and got both Geyser Rock trophies when I didn't get any on my first save, so definitely not worth tinkering with again unless the game has already been platinumed

@@tyrantcynicalgaming I don't know why anyone would want to use it for the first game, as its the easiest of the 3 games. I used the Two Controller method to get the final Orbs in Jak 2 and Jak 3 since those are harder to collect than on Jak 1. But the developers of this re-release want players to get the Platinum Legit without using the Debug Method.
