These Morris Minors were way ahead of their time,these cars had an external crank start to start the car, the engine was compact, easy to service, to maintain,👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I would like to have seen you make an old cork seal from a tree for the crankshaft pulley, the old style cover. We don't get cork trees in England. Genius level welding and brazing I see on youtube every day. Stopping a few oil spot on the pavement won't save the planet. No points for that! BMC A series 850, one of the best engines ever. Pure democracy, power to the people! This IS the best cleaning, restoring, painting I have seen on one of these on youtube. Once you have rebuilt a BMC A series engine to this standard, the engine, it becomes part of you, part of your soul, forever. You will be amazed how fast, reliable that engine is. It will return the love 1000 times. Love from Longbridge will come back to you.

Moggie 1000 was the first car i owned, then had another two after. Great little cars and very easy to work on....i learned how to repair and service myself as i couldn't afford garage bills and quickly became passionate about tinkering with cars! After the Moggies i moved to Mini's which were a real fun car to drive.

I’ve a 68 4 door in Almond green. Runs really well as a daily drive. Rather have this than a modern car with all its sensors and electronics.
@dadgarage79663 жыл бұрын
KZbin's algorithms recommended this to me from all the animal rescue uploads I've been watching. This neglected small car wants to run again. Look how it roared to life with just a bit of effort. A good reminder to keep it simple like cleaning the points and rotor contacts.

You people are simply amazing, I have never seen a distributor and it's rotor arm in cars for a very long time... Thank you

Classic British motoring. My brother had a split screen moggie many years ago; lovely old car. I bet he wishes he'd hung on to it now. Look forward to seeing videos on the progress of this piece of motoring history. Keep up the good work 👍

I owned a 1955 4 door Morris Minor back in 1958 and I loved it, a fun car to drive although it could be dangerous to drive on the interstate due to being way under powered.

In India we have these roadside car repair stalls where one can find excellent mechanics, a lot of them who started apprenticeship from a tender age of 12, 13.

Those were best looking little cars. When I was a kid we used to drive past a farm that had one sitting out front. I always thought it looked so good. That was 60 years ago.

Cool beginning of the video with those night shots. And the first start was text-book like. Check fluids first ( the old girl is a little bit leaky ), clean points, check for spark, bottle-feed the carburetor. Turn the key. It´s like you are Mustie1´s long forgotten brother :) Overall, the Morris is in terrible shape, but not hopeless. This is a lot of work :)

A Moggy is for life, in fact several lives. The original owner is now dead 💀 from old age, and the second and the 3rd. The Moggy lives! A bit of care and love and I bet there will still be loads left running all around the world when they’re 100 years old.
