What a sweet and patient dog! He looks amazing by the end. I have an OES rescue who is much squirmier than Yorek - although she seems to do better with actual groomers than with me. Would love to know the specific tools (especially the thinning shears) you used in this video.

I own a long haired Sheepadoodle and it's been hard finding grooming videos on longer coats that don't get shaved down. Thank you for sharing your work! What hair products did you use here? I just ordered the Hydra Ultra to try out and I have been using Igroom shampoo/conditioner.
@ChickenWingKing8 Жыл бұрын
I agree, harder to find videos on leaving coats longer. We're picking up our sheepadoodle in a few days and I'm hoping to keep it a bit longer. Will keep my eye on this to find out what products are recommended!

Do you have any instructionals on how to scissor armpits? I feel like when I shave non-matted ones I leave massive bald spots but if I trim them I feel like I don’t get them cleaned up enough.

i LOVE totally hand scissored cuts! i have no clients that get it though, only my own pup. do you charge hourly for hand scissoring or a set rate? i’d like to start offering it but i’m not sure how to charge! this was absolutely beautiful. ❤

Wow! He looks amazing! Great job! I learned some things that I am doing wrong. If he would have had some mats, would you have brushed those out before bathing him? I’ve been told that if I bathe my OES before brushing mats out they will tighten up and he will need to be shaved. Is that true? What kind of sprays did you use before drying and before brushing him? I have Cowboy Magic, but it doesn’t seem to work too well for me. Should I be using something different for a detangler/dematting spray?

Ana, Thank You for your video. I am A first time Old English Sheep Dog Owner. My Dog Just Turned 1 . Female. Do you happen To know of A great Groomer Like Yourself in Las Vegas Nevada? I had Some really Bad Experiences.
@Sookielein Жыл бұрын
Owning this breed my whole life I would highly suggest you start brushing her at home. A little bit each day get's her used to being handled and it saves you tons of money when she goes to the groomer. They're an energetic breed and they do get matted at the blink of an eye. It helps if you keep them in a puppy cut.

You’re a true artist!! He looks amazing.., i am looking at a 7 yr old female to adopt potentially but, she is completely shaven !! It is hot here so her current owners shaved her all out! How long can it take for it to grow like this dog you just did??? I also think they haven’t truly given her a proper cut like the way you do it.. if she ends up in my home I will want her to look like this..!!

@@Renvega77 for the body, I’d recommend the 18 tooth chunker. Any fine work like in between the eyes, edges of the paws, smoothing out the face, I’d recommend the 65 tooth thinner

I'm sorry but that is not how you should dematte this breed. You part the hair and work your way towards the skin...section by section by section. All that ripping, pulling and yanking on the top of the coat is not only uncomfortable for the dog but also doesn't get rid of the matting close to the skin and demages the hair itself.

Wow brutal you might wanna go easy there with that slicker brush I don't want to know how many cuts and scrapes you left on the dogs skin he was jumping every time you run that brush through him , I understand you are under time pressure but at least don't hurt the dog by ripping through that fur like you did , that poor dog
