He's all about donations and what he can get he was relying on a thief called Ben Stevens to give him locations and going exploring with him he's a 🐍

I'm happy how you are both so respectful of these properties:- closing doors, cupboards, suitcases and boxes after you've inspected them. Kudos to you. About 25 years ago I was holidaying on the Isle of Skye in Scotland and we came across an old abandoned cottage miles away from anywhere. We went in an found just the same kind of things that you guys are finding. It was very emotional at the time. From what you've just found in this place, I would estimate that the last resident was an old man, from the size of the walking stick or an old woman from the bedroom slippers. The fact that there weren't any clothes found in the wardrobes suggests that they may have been taken into care for the elderly. The fact that their cottage still stands as is might suggest that they may not have had any family. A lack of photos around the place could also mean that they'd taken any meaningful ones with them when they left, or that they didn't have any to speak of in terms of family. The photo of the two little girls that you saw is interesting, but doesn't necessarily mean that they were family. Your next step to pump up your KZbin channel would be to go and find these people on civil records. You could then put together a complete history of these peoples' last few years of occupying particular properties.

It,s heartbreaking knowing that the beautiful china and glass are going to be ruined when the roof caves in and the damp invades. They loved good china that's for sure. The books also, I have a huge collection of books, my hubby says too many. I can't bear to get rid of them,some I have had since childhood. When I do have to lighten the load, I donate to the library, which is right across the street from where I live, which is handy😀😁. Love your videos Adam, never miss one. Take care, and stay safe.😘😁

We have the public Library on the ground floor of this building. It's pretty cool. It is a shame the beautiful things going to trash, but it's true You can't take it with you.

I once decided to cull my collection of the classics - and other works that can be found in public libraries, but I had to put back so many because I just HAD to keep each book for one reason or another, even if it was a duplicate, that I decided to quit trying. Actually, now I'm glad I kept all the books because we seem to be getting deeper & deeper into a new age of censorship of legitimate ideas (both those from the past as well as many from the present), and censorship of factual historical narratives in favor of histories that justify the current, academically endorsed value systems and demonization strategies.

I have SO many books. I kept my nursery rhyme books & had them packed away so well I forgot to get them out for my 3 kids!! 🤣 hopefully my grandkids benefit! Still there are nursery rhymes that are probably banned now. I know I have Noddy books that are banned. Even “The Famous Five” is banned now!

Really enjoyed that guys and just amazing. When I see Dale looking a coins it just makes me laugh - he seems obsessed with coins. Those pink slippers next to the piano look to me like Marks and Spencer. I bought a pair a couple of years ago🤣 Suitcases full of wallpaper was probably needed to prop up those walls🤣

What a lovely old cottage. Love all of the China and wallpaper. Funny how they did all of the updating with electricity but no indoor bathroom. I do appreciate that you leave the places you visit just how you find them. It's so disrespectful when people go in and tear up these beautiful old homes and steal things from them. Adam when you find BOOKS on a shelf please show us WHAT THEY ARE !! ,us older folks (from before computers, tv, & vidio) actually had a life & some of it was READING!! (some folks actually still do) Books on a shelf can tell a very interesting story to us. also they do a time machine pointer to the life & times of the missing occupants. OH also don't "drag em out & shove em back in... to readers books are sort of precious & need a bit of "respect" Thanks for your work mate , you are pretty professional with your skills

This was a awesome tour. This home was abandoned more than 5 years ago, it’s way beyond living in it unless everything inside goes out of the house,then it would be a long road to fix it. The antiques are beautiful. Something major had to happen to this family and no one cared enough to clean it up. I can’t picture anyone living here for a long time. I wish I knew more. Thanks guys, this was a interesting tour.

Lovely. Except it was damp, cold and decaying. That roof rot set in decades ago. There was no bathroom and the kitchen had almost nothing in it. No fridge even. As a stage set it's lovely. As a working home for old people it must have been unbearable other than it had all their pretty things there. The ornaments, china and silverware are wonderful.

Cute, tiny, pristine little cottage! You could tell that she enjoyed her pretty china, collection of teapots & wearing perfume! Looks like he outlived her! There was so very much of her still in the house! They were very small people, as evident by the rooms, low doorways & small furniture! They must have had an outhouse on the property! They used those water pitchers & bowls to clean up before they had indoor plumbing! What a little gem in the rough, that you found Adam & Dale👍 Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure with us! I loved it ❤️

The three-tined fork with one wide tine is a Victorian-era pastry fork. The wide tine was meant to cut the pastry into bite sized pieces.

The comment made about it looking almost like it was set up, I agree to some degree. Some of the things exposed to elements have absolutely no dust on them. Such as coffee cups and alcohol bottles, even the slippers, but then there are other things that are totally covered with dust and mold. Mixed vibes I'd say.

What a lovely cosy little cottage, but sad too…feel that an elderly gentleman was left alone after his wife had died, but was trying hard to keep up things his wife liked, hence none China cups etc, …the kettle and hot water were in the kitchen, so easier to keep shaving things there, and shave over the sink using the medicine cabinet mirror. Love the old yellow kitchen maid cabinet …very collectible these days. The door you couldn’t pull down Adam would be a work top, either enamel or rigid plastic type cover…ideal. The strange small fork/knife on the table were really “cake forks”, you have a slice of cake on a plate and cut a piece with the knife side and eat with the prongs! As I say he was trying to keep up his wife’s standards bless him. So sad that all those memories are encapsulated in that tiny space, the walls and ceiling starting to collapse around it. And yes your right about the kitchen add on..you could see daylight through the wooden planks! Lol. Old typewriter was more modern than you thought! At least it was electric!… wow! My turquoise suitcase upstairs! ( Also notice Pyrex dish in kitchen cabinet same design as one I use) ….Oh Adam! Education needed…”nylon ribbon” was red/black typewriter ribbon, and what you thought was “blusher” was actually a ladies powder compact,,a mirror one side, compacted powder the other, and usually a little fluffy pad inside, for ladies to “powder their noses”! Lol..these days girls use foundation liquid, and things like that..,don’t often see powder compacts these days. A lot of the varnished looking wooden furniture with a bit of carving on the front was post war “utility ware” not the ikea type, but was more available after the war as people got back on their feet refurnishing etc. there are some really lovely items in that little place…what a shame it’s just been left! I just don’t Understand why even if no family, his executors didn’t do something. At the moment it’s just a lovely time capsule of a life once lived by an older generation, full or personal memories. And perhaps the people are still there too, Bless them. Thankyou Adam and friend…( puzzled how you find so many abandoned places! Sad.). Was really fascinating. 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I know nothing about these things, but couldn’t something be done to save all these priceless treasures? The house will surely collapse at some point, but the contents could and should be saved for future generations or living relatives. It just seems too sad to see someone’s treasures fall to ruin. During my childhood, early 60’s, we had no sofa just what we called fireside chairs but we always had a wooden gate leg table that was pulled out at mealtimes then returned to the side of the room again once we had finished. We had one of those blue tea caddys & also a red one, I still have the blue one, they are collectors items nowadays & it’s nice to see one still intact on the wall. I also had that same mirror next to the bible. It’s such fun seeing & picking out all the familiar objects that you use to have many years ago. Great video thanks👍

Hi guys In the first kitchen, the cooker is early sixties so is the glass water heater above the sink, my parents had one, it is called a "corvette". The free standing retro kitchen cabinet with the yellow doors were popular in the 1950 s before people had fitted kitchens, we used to call them a "kitchenette". I really like your explores Adam and Dale too. That yellow cupboard in first kitchen, they were around in the 1970s. The first place cups on piano were next to an urn. Cute little cottage. Hope to see Lisa soon too Xx
