LOL! I planted those potatoes and never hilled them once or weeded them all summer long. So some of the potatoes were sticking out of the ground and got too much light. I literally had to mow down the weeds to find the potatoes. Yes everyone; please note green potatoes are not good to eat. Anyway we enjoyed the good ones and I hope to have NO green potatoes next year. 🙏🏼🌱

What an amazing home and property. Every scene exudes charm. Who knew watching someone plant potatoes could be so captivating! Goodnight Gwen, As you know I just discovered your channel in January 2024. Also, as you know, I have watched the first 17 of your videos 3 times. I mentioned to you before that I think this is one of the VERY best gardening channels out there. I like the fact that you do not speak much, as there is no need for your personal life to be on display. I have seen where you and I are truly kindred spirits in so much of what you do. (except for cooking😅). Would you believe it that the white linen blouse that you are wearing in episode 16, I have one just like it, that I bought about 3 years ago. Your videos are so calm and refreshing and I enjoy them thoroughly. I can't wait for spring to come for me to start working in my garden.

Here it is August, 102° today and I'm watching your Christmas video! You make wreaths the same way I do! I have also made wreaths out of old barb wire using the same technique. Have 2 that I made of barb wire over 30 years ago. I change flowers etc. On them according to season. Both currently have Yellow Sunflowers, one includes birds & nest. Christmas, I put sprigs of cedar, pine with cones from my trees & holly (silk) with Maroon poinsettia sprigs purchased several years ago at Dollar Tree. Liked your brown bow on wreath! Gave me an idea to make a rustic looking one out of strips of burlap! Thanks for a most enjoyable & relaxing video on this very hot, dry & humid summer day here in Missouri! Enjoyed it very much, well done!!!!!

Many years ago my father made me a crucifix out of barb wire and it is one of my most treasured possessions. I have a lot of barb wire along the fence rows of my farm I think I will gather it up and make a wreath and make a video of it. Thanks for the idea! Love it!

@@inthegardenwithgwen Your crucifix of barb wire sounds awesome! I would recommend you wear gloves when working with the barb wire, I started with 1 continuous piece making 3 or 4 coils as a base. I then cut the wire random lengths of 5 to 7 or 8 feet and intertwined/wrapped around just as making the vine wreaths. I even sometimes put old small white insulators & small old rusty wrenches, bolts, tools etc. on mine. Always love sharing ideas! Have an awesome day & good luck on making your wire wreath. Everyone loves mine!
