I had a bottle of the 2014, It was excellent. I walked into Total Wine, and the shelf was full, ($55), sorry I didn't buy them all. Six years later, a shop near me is selling a bottle for $500.00.

I’ve had many OF bottles and none did it for me unfortunately but just got a single barrel store pick and I see how good OF can be. This is a unicorn for me as well and know a store with a few showing off that aren’t for sale.... yet

I won the 2019 OFBB in the LCBO lottery and promptly traded it for a Four Roses 130th small batch. Of course I cannot complete the trade until the border reopens. I have had the 2012 (Traded a 2015 Saz 18 for a 2013 THH and 2012 OFBB) and 2015 in the past and both were very good.

@@marksaliba4194 As long as you cheat with as many friends and family submitting an entry for you. BTAC's are near impossible anymore as you know. 10,000 entries every year and 90% of the bottles head to secondary or Waddingtons auction.

@@Bourbinsane Trust me when I say that many of the Bourbon/Rye you review, I would rather have. I would take those Four Gate's and King of Kentucky over anything I can win here in a lottery with the exception of WLW. The Saz 18 can land you in a trade many Whiskies that are much better. Saz 18 is pathetic next to Hochstaders 16 year Family reserve Rye and it gathers dust on shelves. All about the name.

Great review, Chris! I haven't any of the newer and recent birthday bourbons because I never see them at all :(. 2012 was my year for birthday bourbon when I got several and gave a couple out as birthday gifts to a friends but kept a couple. I ran out of mine last year but gave some to Scott (MyBourbonJourney) Fantastic 12 year Old Forester, I now wish i bunkered the bottles I'd given as gifts lol Cheers brother!

I had a 2018 bottle and hated it, musty perfume and cherry cough medicine combined in a bottle, white diamonds perfume to be exact.
