Will a second battery make the winch stronger ?

no. however the draw from the winch will not drain the main battery. Especially the newer SxS use the main battery for clutches fans lights etc. so in short it will not over tax your main battery. I have heard that if your battery drops down from over use I.E. winching it could cause damage to your clutches. Hope this helps

Isolator? it sounds like the aux battery has been drained and it also drained the main battery. check to see if you have something drawing volts like seat heaters radio etc.? the isolated is designed to stop any draw of current once the aux battery is below a certain voltage. can you tie in to the cigarette lighter to power on only when you turn the key?

You are not using Smart dual battery isolator. This accessory automatically swiches the battery charging based on voltage reading. visit www.dfna.info for True battery isolators
