100% for me too. As you get older you can get a bit burnt out on video games, but Alan Wake 2 is among few games that can bring that joy I felt as a kid playing video games. Everything about it makes me smile, and this performance made me tear up a bit. Beautiful.

I was playing this at 2am on the last night after the Xmas break knowing I had less than six hours before work started again, and I had no time to really sit and enjoy a game like I had with Alan Wake 2. And then I got to this sequence in the game and I just had this huge smile on my face the whole time. I put the game down after that, perfect note to end on and it took me back to the days of playing games late into the night and discovering gems like this. My honest personal opinion: Matthew deserved to do the dance in the center with Sam, Ikka and David instead of staying on the side Seriously, before watching this video I didn't even noticed that he was dancing too and I watched again the broadcast to see how many times he was visible in frame (not helping he was wearing all black like the other stage dancers so he was easy to miss since the attention was all on the center of the stage)

Love seeing this from an audience perspective with no cuts or editing from the actual show. Unfortunately, the reason for the stiff and unenthusiastic crowd is that most of them are executives, suits, developers, and other active members of the gaming industry. For them, it's just another random performance from a game they had no association with - some would even say one of their competitors.
