The best part was seeing Sam Lake's huge grin while performing it. You could tell he was having a blast. This was pure vindication for him. People kept telling him that AW was dead and AW2 would never be made because no one would buy it since AW1 didnt initially sell well. Over a decade later, he proved them all wrong and created a masterpiece.

I found them waaaaaay back in 2005 when the credit rolled for Max Payne 2. I fell in love with their music, and it is so good to see a game developer ton incorporate a band into its game from the same country as they are from (Finland). The fact that all the Old Gods of Asgards songs that are in the games (AW1, Control, AW2) are actually narrative setpieces and all of the add to the story and/or the lore of the games.

I wish the entire band would've been there and that it wouldn't have been playback/singback (Captain on keys instead of drums, Jari on drums and Jani on bass - it's apparent that neither Captain nor Marko are in their right instrumental elements, several things not matching the sound. Marko raises his right hand during his first singing part but the bass line keeps going, just as an example) - but it was still real damn cool to see! And Sam Lake's happiness is so palpable, he must be protected at all costs.
