I love Marko’s growls. Always good to hear what else an artist is capable of outside of their chosen genre.

0:15 Crazy connection considering John Milton wrote a poem named Paradise Lost, which Nick Cave from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds has been inspired by Milton. And Nick Cave had a song featured in Alan Wake, made by the same developers that were behind Take Control.

Then may I suggest of playing Control. the place where this plays is just I can't find words to describe it... I wish I could play the area over and over again.

@@ThalesMusicCorner I second the suggestions for Dark Ocean Summoning and the Sea of Night, and I'd add Anger's Remorse. Honestly the Old Gods of Asgard have quite a small discography, you could totally do them all :D

Fun little fact about this song. There are subliminal messages there played backwards. Which actually refences things happening in Alan Wake 2. Don't remember on the top of my head. But something about brothers in drunken stupor seeing double resembling spruce tree

Oh, that’s really cool. I’ll need to look into that 😁😁

Yes, there is a reference to Alan Wake 2 as well as to Control itself. Mind you, Alan Wake 2 came out years after this song came out.

There's more to it than that even. I recently replayed Control and came across a secret chamber that I did not find during my first playthrough. Inside that chamber there is a clock and a radio that plays the song (it also plays during the Ashtray Maze part of the game, but that's just for entertainment). The clock hour hand can be stopped at certain times, and it is actually the key to a hidden door inside that secret chamber that leads to another secret chamber. Only if you find the correct numerical code to set the clock in the correct order, the hidden door will open. In the spoken parts of the song played backwards Marko tells you the numbers required. Who would've thought it's not just foreshadowing Alan Wake 2 but also holds the solution to an in-game puzzle? Genius. 👏🙌😊
