Turns out my friends and I were playing incorrectly. We were using our normal cast to summon a 2 or 3 cost Elestral without ascending. I rewatched the old guide and couldn't find anything saying that you couldn't do it this way, so maybe we just interpreted it wrong or the rules were changed. Either way, it made the our meta become who can get a high cost Elestral the fastest. Glad to see we were doing it wrong though, I think our matches will be a lot better paced now and less focused on trying to deplete our decks looking for our respective 3 cost Elestral

Looks interesting. Like a mix between Yugioh & Magic with the spirit deck functioning similarly to that of Security in Digimon. I do think Digimon's memory gauge is 1 of the if not the best type of method for enabling/controlling plays in a game. Each card played has a cost with a summon or action, with that cost that you pay enabling your opponent for their next turn.

I feel that there should be a way to regain spirits that are sent to the underworld. For example there could be one that allows you to take 5 back if you have exactly 0 remaining in your deck of 20.

Question about ascending: Do you have to ascend from one stage to the next each turn like pokemon, or if i have a nimbug with 2-3 spirits on one turn can I ascend it to stratomoth during my text main phase?

@Elestrals anytime. Didn't know A-Drive was making a card game.. Let alone had another kid late congrats to that XD. Also I'm a mythology consolation guy so...this seems fun.. I'm not much for life deck win conditions but That's more a preference than a "bad" mechanic. Hopefully this comes to stores soon....hopefully to overthrow Meta Zoo...I heard those guys were Crypto -_-...

Not sure if this is answered elsewhere, but is there any estimate on when product will be for sale post-kickstarter stuff getting sent out? I only had the financials at the time to get two decks and the artist pack, but seeing all the openings made me want to pick up the other decks and probably a box (long time yugioh player with crow brain, addicted to shiny things)

If you have a 1 spirt Elestral on the field with 3 spirits attached can you ascend that Elestral immediately to a 3 spirt Elestral or must it go through a 2 Spirt Elestral first to ascend to the 3 spirit Elestral?

I believe you can ascend it to a 3 spirit Elestral. (Also, you only need 2 spirits: you add one more when ascending)

The mana system from FoW would have worked more for what you were going for instead you made runes and elestrals use the same resource turning them into cores from BS/BSS with the caveat that you get closer to losing the more cards you play. I see interesting elements but the game feels unfocused. It’s gonna be a pass for me.

Um, starting a TCG costs millions of dollars. Manufacturing alone is a huge contract that can cost hundreds of thousands. He has 50+ employees who all need to be paid for their labor. It can drain a YT creator quickly. In fact, I'm shocked he has managed thus far. lol This industry is brutal. Pokémon and MTG are massive, billion dollar franchises.

thank you for not multiplying all numbers by 100. But, seriously, this is yu-gi-oh with a pokemon resource/evolution system. I was into it until you started just blatantly copying yu-gi-oh mechanics and keywords: defense/attack positions, special summon, "setting" cards, "chaining". I don't like yu-gi-oh, so this isn't for me but I wish you luck.

question: if i were to use glauby to special ascend to majesea because it has 3 leviaphin already enchanting it, do i still have to add a spirit from the spirit deck to the majesea?

When you ascend you always add a spirit from your spirit deck, even if you have enough already!
