Old House Rehab - Part 1, Basement

This video describes some techniques to improve an old house basement.
The rear portion of this house was an addition circa late 1800’s
of inferior quality in poor condition with a very shallow crawlspace, about 12 inches. The solution to improve this crawlspace was to demolish it and start fresh with a full basement. The new basement portion served as a good place to install mechanicals.  We turned the worst part of the basement crawl space into the best part.
