You say you build Rat Rods, I disagree, you sir create art. The average builder would have searched around a little on the internet and found something they liked and could make work, not you nope. You deserve so many more subscribers than you have because your channel is one of the best built not bought channels on KZbin. Love the content Bob thanks for sharing your amazing skills with all of us

@codyc69752 ай бұрын
bob, thanks fr answering my comment ...... I do have a couple of fiberglassing tips for you. They make things really easy. For any panels you have to make especially below the hood or anywhere. Get yourself a piece of glass works the best but, if you habe a sheet of plywood ,or any sheet good and put clear or any packing tape , wax paper, baking paper and tape it to the flat srface even on sheet of foamboard. Lay your fiberglas and put two coats of glass matt or even fiberglass cloth and when it's cured in an hour or so you can peel it right ff giving you a very nice side and the other side if you wat the same nice finish you can put wax paper or the parchment paper on top and use a roller over it and you can get a fairy nice finish on both sides If you want to make body line just hot glue half of a cut pvc pipe to the part youre starting from If you don't have aroller for the bubbles just use a bold and washers of two sizes and weld a handle to the bolt head alternate the two sizes of ewashers wo you have bigger , smaller bigger , smaller till is about maybe 2-3" long and put a nut on the end to keep them on the bolt. Now you have a roller to get bubbles out. If you're really crafty ( which I believe you are ) you can heat up pvc pipe or cut out pieces of wood and glue them down in the shape of louvers and glass over them. Then all you need to do is cut out the part where needed to vent the air. Like anything your prep is 99percent of the success. If you look on Facebook marketplace or craigslist it's easy to find shower doors which I use to make panels. I hope this helps make it easier on you but take what you want or not it's your choice ! Just have a great day and take it off with pay ! Great video by the way ! Remember even if it's just a rat rod it can still be nice but, if its not fun it never gets done.. Parchment papter and waxpar along with aluminium foil make great base covers on carboard or even on old election signs. Things won't or shouldn't stick to them and leave a nice finish to work on. Superglue and baking soda to cure it you can cut precise parts and temporary glue them together and then put another couple of coats for thickness ! Have a great one ..... I'm going to try those hinges !
