I have been a keen fisherman all my life read just about every book there is and that is the first time I have ever seen a lighting trout it is definitely closely related to a rainbow

G’day from Australia, mate. Great video. Only recently found your channel, great content. Love the old bridge you use as your opening etc. Top deal on the chuck from the scrappers, would have cost that, or more, just for one of the jaws. All the best.

Congratulations on the one thousand subscribers. You certainly came across some very nice tooling lately. It's always interesting to hear about the items that you find and see a little clean up on them. I thought that the granite plate was a Starrett when I first saw it.

Congrats on hitting the 1K. That forklift was cool. Like the old school Ground Hawg tires it had on it. Nice and stiff so perfect for that application. They suck off road though. LOL. Nice 6 jaw score. Won't be tossing that thing on the lathe at 275 pounds. Ugh! You have the best Craig's list over there. I can't find squat on it over here.

Thanks Tom, I appreciate it. I really try to stay away from CL. Around here I know I can go on CL and find something cool, im just out of room. Always nice to have you stop by, sorry it took so long to get back. Been crazy busy. Gary

That was a nice find, the intro video was cool, I stood there in nearly that spot when i was 8, 50 years ago.

Thank you Carl. I'm thinking 50 years ago I probably would of been at the back of the shop with my sling shot shooting the round slugs from the iron worker out into the river trying to hit some old wood pilings. Thanks for stopping by. Gary

One of the most enjoyable videos to date. You sure have a good source of good equipment at the local scrap yard! Thanks for sharing! Oh, I’ve been fishing for trout all my life in the western US, never seen or heard of a lightning trout. Very cool. The brown was a rare find.
@OldIronMachineWorks4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Jeff. That scrap yard has been good to me over the years. We normally do good with the Browns, just takes a little more work getting to them. Not easy places to get the Grandkids to. Thanks for checking out my video. Gary

Nice stone! I thought the Herman Stones were part of the Herman Schmidt company, but since it says Ohio I suspect not as Herman Schmidt was in Connecticut. Nice looking stone none the less.
@OldIronMachineWorks4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. All I could find was Herman was bought by Starrett around 1971 and the light colored stones came out of the same Quarry that the Starrett pinks came from. Thanks for stopping by. Gary

@@jeffanderson1653 What a loaded question! =) But seriously, I have not been to ArnFest for 3 or 4 years. So I forget what he looks like. Though I think he always had a ball cap on the few times I have met and talked with him and / or his travel companions (Dave G.? being one).
