Another approach, one I use, is to tune the baritone BU high e string down to d and you are in open g. Play OJC just like it is a banjo minus the fifth string. EASY PEASY!

Great idea! I'll have to give that a whirl. Thanks - Kelly

Hi Susan - glad you're enjoying it!! For now it's just ukulele (keeps me pretty busy!). If you're available, join us next Saturday at 3pm Eastern - we're going to do a live event, with lessons and a play along. If you're interested just send me an email at fourstringstrummer@gmail.com and I will send you the link to join us as well as the song sheets! Thanks again - Kelly

Another song for me to try out: Thank you. Looks like you’ve got a new banjo uke…… brand, model? How you liking it?

YOU have a sharp eye my friend!! Yep - it just arrived last week. This one is a Kmise tenor scale. Really liking it so far. I have just completed a review /comparison of this and Aklot concert scale. I have it scheduled for next Thursday. Glad you enjoyed the video! Kelly

I used to play a banjo. Not very good but I liked it. I sold it to my music teacher to buy ukuleles ! Win win for both of us. One of these days I’ll get a banjolel. This one looks nice 😊

@Bonnie Davidson Hey Bonnie - I really like banjo ukes - they just have that different cranky sort of twang to them that i think works so well on a lot of old time/folk/country music. By the way I've done a review/comparison of a couple of banjo ukes. It will be out this Thursday (shhhh - don't tell anyone...)

Where can I find the tabs for this song
@fourstringstrummer Жыл бұрын
Hi Milo - sorry I don't have any tabs...I'd send them to you if I did but it's not something I've put together. I tend to rely more on plying by ear - that's really where I come up with these arrangements - just by figuring them out by what sounds "right". Thanks! Kelly
