New one i.e. 2017 version looks much more sensational in looks (although looks are subjective) plus interesting console and headlight cluster plus a sweet sounding exhaust plus more comfortable seats plus less heat for the legs plus slipper clutch plus ride-by-wire (gives crisp throttle response) plus bigger and confident inspiring brakes... So all in all, my pick would be the new KTM Duke 390... Surely a practical machine... What it misses is just and just a sigh in pick-up and top speed perhaps due to older one being the lighter one... But I have too touched 170 in sixth gear... Nice video by the way... ;-)

chill bro ! the 44 horses aint perfectly contained in the system thats what gives her the kicks ! and the gearbox thats faulty lubrication not the chain n sprocket ! 7100 aint enough to keep her running smooth @faizalkhan one hell of machine in the right hands ! nothing beats the grunt of the raw and wild first series dukes and the ones with the austrian made engines are even better

I think it's a good trade-off. I don't mind sacrificing a little top end whack in order to get more reliable engine with good heat management, better console, better looks, seating posture, better mileage and overall a better bike.

Older Duke was a great bike to have in garage. But It was a terrible option to have "only"bike in garage. New Duke is an all rounder. You can use it in city for office commute, tour on it with more specious seat and bigger fuel tank. Heat is manageable, On-Off throttle is smooth, suspension is improved, brakes are improved, efficiency is improved, ergonomics is improved, refinement is improved. So, I wouldn't mind sacrificing a little bit power for all those improvements.

Faisal bhai i do own a duke 390 2016 model and its fun to ride now the problem is my friends dont sit behind me they don't want to be pillion on this bike it's so scary for pillions. Otherwise it's a charm to ride on highways because i live near lonavala i have beautiful highways and ghat to lean on corners, also i dont have to worry about traffic. The person who have ridden this bike can understand the feelings.
