When I was 22 back in 1987 , a friend tagged along 7 or 8 of us wrestling buddies to a district championship and taped the whole day on 2 , almost full , 4 hour vhs cassettes. The smaller cassettes was not out yet , so the camera was a bit larger. He taped from morning assembly-car trip-arrival-weigh in-all matches-medal ceremony(for 2 of my friends)-trip home-party in club house and all the everyday goofing off and sillyness in between. For me , that's a day in my youth , forever saved , to watch whenever I want to timetravel , for a little while. Be very careful with your tapes Johnny. That's a real treasure , right there.

Man, seeing a video like this just takes me back with all of the memories I have with my best friend growing up and even until recently. Whenever we could, we would hang out together, get intoxicated, and just play games and mess around together sort of like this. Many great memories made. We tried to do it as much as possible before I moved from Canada to the Netherlands. We still try and Skype eachother whenever we get the chance and do the same thing over video chat, but the timezones and our busy lives make it difficult of course. I hope someday that we can get some time to be together in person and hang out like we always did. By the way, I just turned 24 a few days ago, so now I am officially older than Rob man in this video. Wow. We Miss you by the way Rob man, we all hope everything is going well with you.

Ah the early 2000's when the pants were baggy might I say the baggiest and the shirts were button up with cool flames on the sides and RPG's were front and center and anime had taken the west by storm. It's always fun to rediscover a time capsule like this. Unfortunately, most of mine ended up getting destroyed thanks to being on old HDDs that got hauled away and recycled by mistake. I was able to recover some footage from an old camcorder HDD recently from a (failed) Kickstarter film project from 6 years ago, but that's about as good as I'm likely to do. As for this video, Rob sounds pretty similar to how he does now, but Johnny's voice sounds a bit different, deeper. Not sure if that's because of the smoking or his position behind the camera.

Just think about it, we live in a world were your great grandchildren or their children could see how you were.
