The Old Man Logan story in Secret Wars was amazing. However, I was disappointed he had no part in Secret Wars #9. It goes against the end of Old Man Logan #5, with him leading the battle against Doom.

I must be really old and yet I remember buying the very first X men comic to hit the stands so much has changed and gotten so dark and painful kind of like the day I giscovered that my wife had gotten rid of my entire first run collection of Marvel Comic books . Talk about pure evil . Every Marvel comic book from Number 1 to 200 of each series gone never to be seen again

In some odd way I'm glad Wolverine was killed off now that I've read this. Seeing Marvel take what was essentially a (highly praised) minor footnote in Marvel history to add Old Man Logan to the main timeline while expanding on his story was very enjoyable.

in response to the ending being flimsy , id like to throw this out, maybe its not a easy way out, relying on destiny, but instead heavy symbolism, a final tribute to wolverine who has carried Marvel through its lows, who has had amazing story lines.. and not so great but maybe this was the marvel own tribute to the Death of wolverine, and an explanation as to why they are going to continue him after his death, because every hero can be replaced peter parker, steve rogers etc etc sometimes unsuccessfully, except wolverine, cause he is that one bastard, marvel needs

So, wait... he crossed over into the Age of Apocalypse, but it wasn't the original AoA? Why'd they make a second version of it? I mean, why not just use the original? They seem to have used the original Old Man Logan universe. Also, if that's the 616 Cyclops... he used the Phoenix Force to survive his universe's destruction, then died fighting Doom... so what's going on here?

+SirMandokarla they couldnt use the original AOA because that universe actually ended. it is destroyed and gone forever. as for cyclops, he died very poorly. but then he got revived somehow after secret wars only to die again after pissing off the inhumans. right now no one knows what happened.

+ComicIsland Not the AoA (universe-295) versions, they didn't! Probably around that time, though... Considering the multiverse died. I'm fairly certain they died on another Earth (it really tends to be Earth), trying to find some way to defeat the Beyonders, or just generally disappeared when the Multiverse collapsed. Right, I know that's all ambiguous, but Marvel didn't give me much to go on. Suffice to say, the new Web Warriors comic is basically The Exiles, but with Spiders instead of X-men. Blink-295 [[spoilers: andd eventually Sabretooth-295]] are members of the Exiles team, which travels the multiverse saving universes from destruction and preventing the resultant ripple effect from destroying the multiverse. Yes, they're in over their heads. Yes, they clearly failed, just like the Multiverse's Reed Richards, the Celestials, and the Captain Britain Corps. Shame we were never told how.

thanks for that bit of info. i never read the exiles so its good for me to know. and yes, marvel stories are all very ambiguous, probably because there's a ton of writers having to work within continuity or what ever other handcuffs they have.
