Absolutely brilliant! Best quality Hiker KZbinr out there. The editing, cinematography, and your personality is top shelf. Keep on going! You will only grow.

Ahh thanks so much mate. Really. This one was a beast to edit, but a joy to make (on trail and on screen) more to come. Ben Nevis next from a couple of weeks ago coming up. Thanks again!

The Old Man of Coniston looks a serious dude Russ. Rugged and gnarly. You did a good job on the production - captured some beautiful evocative shots. Hey, who knows? You may live there one day. All the best. Mark

Haha cheers Mark. I totally could. Either there or Scotland is where I’d end up if I stayed in the UK. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for always watching and sharing your thoughts. All the best to you too. Russ

Excellent video mate. I've walked the Old man but my knees are gone. Staying in Coniston late October and if the weather suits I want to take my daughter to the top. It's something I've wanted to do but it will kill my knees. This is a fab video of a charming place.

Thanks Mark. Sorry to hear about your knee. Have you tried using KT tape or a knee brace? Let us know if you go and how you get on!

Stunning cinematography! What an absolute joy to watch Russell. I've been on the hunt for my next trail before going back to work in 2 weeks. I think you've inspired me to visit the Lake District.

@@thetrailhunter4469 I've only done Scafell pike in the Lakes, a great day with plenty of snow but such lovely clear skies. Definitely a great part of the country, I've so many routes I want to tackle around there. I hiked the West Highland Way last week and have been looking for my next trail to tackle. Was looking to do Wainwright's Coast to Coast with a summit of Helvellyn along the way.

Nice video on my home turf 👍 Interesting you're wearing trail runners. Appreciate why tho. I do t have any problems with Gps coverage in the lakes with my phone or Garmin. The call signal can vary from zero to max tho. Fortunately my GPS service doesn't rely on data signal or masts. Thanks for the vid.

Thanks Phil. Glad you enjoyed it. That was a Mavic Air 1 which was more than capable in snow, drizzle and wind. I recently got a Mavic Air 2 which would probably be even more capable. But then I'm mental enough to risk it haha. Cheers!

I have altra lone peak 4 same colour, but how do you manage to not wet your feet? I am going to Lake District next bank holiday and I am currently deciding between Salomon X Utra 3 Mid GTX or Lone Peak 4.0
@thetrailhunter44695 жыл бұрын
My feet do yet wet yes, but they dry out really fast. For me, with boots, I find my feet get wet in the rain and with sweat anyway and they cause me to get blisters, so I always hike in trail runners unless I need crampons. Always do what works best for you though. 👍

Have to say, your channel is pretty incredible, as a lot of the other posts have said. The quality of the footage, along with stunning cinematography and the use of music and editing, looks more like a glossy Hollywood film production. Really impressive keep at it. also just as a comparison, here is a clip from a program called "the Munro show" from the very early 90's its a fully studio-backed production and was great for its time, but next to your stuff it looks totally poor quality amateur material, just goes to show how tech has improved over the last 30 years. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oImThJRvadtqgMU p.s. if you ever get a chance try out the Torridon hills your skills with the camera etc would REALLY do them justice. Thanks for all the high-quality content. Amazing.
