Decarabian looked like he gon' pass out when he saw Vennessa in Celestia. 😂😊 Sorry, just a little tidbit. Decarabian was Mondstadt's God-King, Barbatos was it's Archon. Barbatos is the first God to become an Archon. So the term wasn't well known until around 600 years after Barbatos' ascension because the Archon War ended around 2,000 years ago. Also, we have absolutely no record of Barbatos' actions in the cataclysm, besides his battle with Durin and Celestia's summoning every Archon besides Rukkhadevata to Khaen'riah. And, finally, we don't know his full power, true age, true form, nor even actual history. Love YA!!! 😊😂

I’m pretty sure decarabian was trying to be a benevolent and loving god to his people but was so disconnected from the people and Amos so instead was seen as a tyrant by them. The reason for his storm that surrounded old mondstadt was to keep boreas and his blizzards out because he had declared war on decarabian for the position of anemo archon. After realizing that he had kept his people inside the storm and that the people yearned for freedom, he chose to let the people kill him during their revolt against him. Also Amos was so in love with him and had told him about how the people had yearned for freedom and asked him to put the storms down but he was so disconnected from her he never realized what she was asking from him, and I don’t think he realized how much she loved him.

Let clarify a bit Im not sure about the old mondstadt tyrant attitudes but he actually just someone who wishes to protect his "people" from the evil Gods outside but due to his tyranny his people came to dislikes him as he is quite too protective of his people to the point they cant see a single bird but just from books So Im thinking his character would be a mix nice sincerly like his people but also dominant to the land to protect
