Really all in all the common engine for the Narrow Nose was the Cummins 6BTA 330 fuel squeezer. My father drove these in the 60s with a 4 and 4 browny Transmission. No front brakes, the company that hauled cement Universal in California was cheap bought the cheapest truck and engine they could buy. Truckers would adjust the rails give it more horsepower. I was a kid went for rides, hauling cement is always fully loaded the Cummins 6BTA 330 was very slow horrible.
