I went to turkey this past May alone and i got an air bnb in Balat. I never felt like i was in any danger. Everyone was so friendly! Traveling solo is one of the best things ive ever done! Balat is beautiful!

Another beautiful video. I hv visited Princess Island last year. Very calm n quiet area. Our tourist guide for Pamokale was from Holland. He told us that he was in Turkey for the last 30 years.

Thanks to show the beautiful balat. I am south African and went to visit in March. The boat cruise was also 👍. Food very good. The blue mosque another tourist place.i bought some lovely clothing from the market like victory secret which was so cheap. Slight imperfections great price. Subways are so fast and cheap. Want to go back. God bless

This is so funny, I was just in that neighborhood about four days ago. We took the very streets you walked on. When we walked past the auto repair shop and down that street it was a little sketch but was a nice trip.

We visited last year and didnt enter from the river side like most tourists, we ended up getting off on the complete other end and walking down towards the river. I absolutely LOVE istanbul but that 20min walk was the first time we felt scared, unsafe and out of place. There were no tourists and just all locals who were staring at us. Couldnt get out of there fast enough.

50 years can't be considered an old building. I think you were wrong, most of the buildings look from the 30s to 50s. It's a very normal and nice area in my opinion, I don't see anything strange.
