But in a state like H.P where more than 80% geographical area are hilly and not suitable for industrial and economical development as these kind of activities will give irreparable harm to glaciers and biodiversity of the fragile Himalaya.....Govt. sector is the only hope for poor people.... H.P has more than 84% of literacy rate and has one of the finest govt. Mechanism of the country... Although OPS is bad for economic health but for fragile regions like H.P OPS acts as a deterrent against environmental damage that will be caused if huge economic activities takes place there.... In H.P more than 80% hydro power projects are runned by public sector and there is no complaint w.r.t their management and working as compare to other states like Uttarakhand....

I think that it is not the 50% of last drawn salary but it should be 50% of last drawn basic salary. eg if an employee is having a basic salary of 50000 then DA(Dearness allowance), HRA(House Rent allowance), TA(Travel allowance)and MA(Medical Allowance) The system would be like this Basic pay-50000 DA@30%=15000 HRA@10%=5000 TA say =3000 MA-----=300 This will be=73300 and this may be called as last drawn salary as explained by sir but i think it is the 50% of last drawn basic salary which in this case is 50000 and the pension will be 25000 but not 36650. Plz clarify @byju's

Sir you told about the burden of pension on government increased but you didn't tell about the increse in the earnings of the government, many goods and services which were not taxed earlier are being taxed heavily in the current period . Last year only when the crude oil rates were significantly low, the government earned more than 3 lakh chores of fuel prices itself . From a packet of chips to 4 wheeler the consumer has been paying tax and the tax has been increasing constantly, talking about DA , When inflation is over 6% the govt gives DA of 4 % thereby saving more n more . When we talk about development n compare with develop countries would you please tell what kind of and how the developed countries provide different benifits to their govt employees ? Thank you
