Hello Grzegorz - its great to have you back. This lovely, gorgeous, glorious Tango - makes my weekend and me very happy. My father used to sing it - however - out of all the various talented performers who attempted that classic - I would vote for Fogg's understated, subtle and sad version. Your artwork with beautiful shots of Wilno - looks as great as ever. Thanks a million for this Tango and have a great weekend - it's a pleasant, sunny Saturday afternoon in Chicago!

It's always so sad to say goodbyes to ones we love - but there's also a happy moment to come, when we will say hello! Thanks for choosing this old Polish tune for your farewell - and I hope you will also find here a lot of happy welcome tunes for the soon-to-come sunday, when you meet again.

Haunting -- and so appropriate for the images whose history you explain. Poland's resilience has certainly been tested -- and proven, in people like you, Grzegorz, who know of and understand its victimization.

Hi my dearest, thank you for your such a warm welcoming! I know about your crush about Wilno, therefore its photographs occupy almost the half of this slideshow - just for you. I always feel pain in heart when it comes to Polskie Kresy question...You see, my grandma's beloved and only brother died, fighting the bolshevics in the outskirts of Lwów, in 1919. The memory of his braveness had been always with me, ever since my earliest childhood. It's how many of us used to be brought up in Poland.

Witaj, D.!! I am also happy to be back here, after two weeks of that wonderful yet also quite tiring holiday. Travelling from north to the Napolitan Bay and than back into the heart of the Abruzzo mountains accompanied by all those crazy changes of weather could kill the bear, what to say about the slightly wornout by life, Polish eye doctor.

Superb images of once magnificent cities. As you know, my own roots go back in part to Wilno, more accurately to one of its Jewish shtetls whose name and streets have been lost to 20th century history. On my visit to Wilno some years ago I was appalled to see how the Soviets had chopped up Jewish tombstones and used them to line the streets.

Best to live life as if you never need a tombstone- for good reason..

Saying the truth that this tango in original was created in Yiddish language is "racist" , but titling this song as 'Polish' is not racist ? Typical racist hypocrisy and projection
