I had this video in my watch later playlist for awhile. Now that I finally found time to watch it, I have to say: This was fantastic! The story of a fan coming to Sodor and impressing everyone with his skill was a solid way of building Highlander's character. He's just a good dude who's happy to be here and is excited to be around engines who are, to him, literal legends. And that rescue near the end was INTENSE. I was worried GH was gonna die. Him not having a clay resin face was something I got used to as his eyes were very expressive but if you ever did give him one, I do wonder what it would look like. I also liked that ending post credit bit to close out his story. Such a wholesome film overall. Well done!

1:05:06 I’d like to imagine that Gordon Highlander tried to cover up him being rebuilt into a Stanier Royal Scot to try make himself more recognised and gain more fame for being the only unrebuilt Royal Scot, even though he was probably put back into his original Fowler Condition some time in the 1970s, even though he still would’ve been recognised by enthusiasts for having different smoke deflectors to other Stanier Royal Scots. But that’s just a little theory of mine ;)

That's was enjoyable to watch. I like some of the similarities from other movies like when Gordon Highlander stopped Gordon the runaway like spider-man stopping a runaway train in spider-man two and after hearing some spider-man tunes I began to think Gordon Highlander is like spider-man. And seeing Gordon being jealous of Gordon Highlander and becoming best friends in the end is like Woody and Buzz-lightyear from the first toy story movie. Plus great idea putting in 'Ode to Gordon' song. Gordon Highlander has now become one of my favourite express locomotives and it's all thanks too you (CORTLANDT STUDIOS) for making this incredibly fascinating video. So thank you 👏

Thanks, I will admit that the runaway scene was inspired by the one in Spider-Man 2. The scene resonates with me so much that I had to make something similar to it. :)

I personally just suddenly came up with the officially well-knowingly clever idea of completely bringing Highlander into the officially well-knowingly famously popular TV show as a specifically wonderfully great new permanent member of the famous N W R in the form of still retaining his own official L M S livery; which certainly would basically also apparently mean that the famously well-known N W R certainly would basically have received their own officially uniquely preserved for a specifically wonderfully great 2nd time! In fact,, it's basically quite clear that I personally just suddenly came up with the officially well-knowingly clever idea of completely making Highlander as the very much officially well-known North Western Railway's own official mixed-traffic express locomotive!

I personally just suddenly realized that Highlander certainly could make a specifically wonderfully great addition of the well-known N W R as their own officially uniquely 2nd-timed preserved Royal Scott class locomotive as the well-known North Western Railway's own official mixed-traffic express locomotive with more-or-less slight modifications that officially include a specifically wonderfully great new pair of nameplates that officially just say Highlander instead of Gordon Highlander as it'll basically be no complete doubt whatsoever very shockingly surprisingly easier to remember!

Gordon came to sodor but Gordon got upset. Gordon is very prideful thus despises and lashes out at Gordon. Gordon sacrificed himself to sabe Gordon after Gordon tried to outdo Gordon. Gordon and Gordon were repaird and Gordon apologized to Gordon. Both Gordon and Gordon have respect now. This comment is a test to see if anyone who reads this before watching gets confused. All in all, amazing video 10/10

@VanCortlandtParkStudios24332 жыл бұрын
Yeah I heard of countryballs before. The animated eyes for the faceless engines in this video are basically countryball eyes. I figured it would be a unique way for faceless engines to visually express themselves other than faces. Some people seem to question or go against this concept, but I digress.

Lovely story but why are you screaming in the mic when they are attempting to stop?
@VanCortlandtParkStudios24333 жыл бұрын
Honestly this was back when I was using the Blue Yeti microphone for the first time. I have to admit that the narration in this film is perhaps a little too loud. At the time I was recording my voice lines, I was practically yelling at the mic to make the runaway scene more dramatic and intense lol. But looking back at this, I feel like I need to take it easy with the voice acting. At some point, I'm actually considering to improve the audio in this video. I'm not really sure when at the moment since there are other projects I'm planning to work on first.
