This trail completely owned me first time I tried it…never had the courage to try again. DD you make it look easy, much respect.

Raw! Nice riding as always. Quick general question for you. With so many trails and so many rock drops/rollovers on those trails, how do you manage a mental inventory of which ones rollable versus require a drop?

I think he improvises a lot, like I suspect the times he does that "heh" laugh he somehow survived a sketchy move haha

Would definitely have to agree with you DD, looks like a super fun trail, someday would love to give it a go and try to get down without too many dabs. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts, if Dale lent you his Revolver, think it would be better suited to this type of slower speed tech.
@ddangerousddave3 жыл бұрын
Possibly. Too many factors to think about. This trail is fairly steep so the Sight might still be better suited, but on flatter tech the Revolver would probably be a bit easier to manage and the rollover would be better with the 29er wheels. The tires on the Revolver would leave something to be desired compared to the Minions on the Sight though.
@lynxg46413 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I think the whole "we need super slack, for steep" thing is blown way out of proportion, `think that the 67.5* HTA would be more than enough and the more spritely angles in the tight would more than make up for the bit slower you'd need to go on the really steep sections. Thought Dale put on a set of DHR2/DHF tyres on the Revolver, but if not, not hard to borrow a set of 29ers wheels with them to give it a go, or even just a DHF for the front. I think giver a go, as Dale said, never good to only have one bike, always N+1 ;-)

That trail looks hard. Haven’t tried it yet so it connects at the end of 7th secret

Swings towards the slower, rooty tech side of the spectrum, but it's pretty fun. First time down it should be in the dry.
