@BountyVАй бұрын
What an amazing piece of hardware! Seeing this video I can fully understand their asking price. That being said, the price is entering into "I want an active shifter" territory. I can't expect any new shifter on the market to get much more expensive than this without being active somehow. I currently have the SHH Shifter Thorn H+Seq combo shifter and for the price point there is no comparison on the market. Easily beats Fanatec, which is really its only competitor for 'entry' level hybrid shifter. I paid $140usd shipped and feel I got a lot of value for my money. You are spot on with the issues and set backs, and while it isn't an authentic shifting feel or experience when compared directly to a real car, for entry level PC shifter, it is unbeatable for the price. My subjective problem is similar to yours, in that sure I could one day upgrade to Simagic or whatever, but they have the problems you describe, and for the price I don't feel it is big enough upgrade from my SHH Shifter Thorn to justify. This new shifter is a great addition to the market. Again the price is understandable, I just can't justify it without wanting to spend a bit more for active shifter (like the kit bash you did a video on a while back), or waiting for more active shifters to hit the market. The use case, primarily being 'old school' cars, makes it unlikely to see a big name like Simucube develop such a product, so it is up to others like Simagic, Sim Labs, Moza, etc. to further innovate and expand this side of the sim racing market. As always, big thank you for covering all the incredible new products hitting market, and all the incredible new innovations being introduced to the magical world of sim racing. My dad passed away yesterday (early onset Alzheimer's) and this video has helped cheer me up.

Great channel. I was thinking before going AW tau sequential V2 plus simagic for hpattern (in total similar price to this 2in1). How would you compare hpattern and sequential feeling of them compared to this 2in1 that you are testing right now?
@AresGenesisАй бұрын
Great review, as always! I'm planning to build a set of DIY active pedals and have a couple of questions. First, is it possible to perform heel-and-toe on them? I haven’t seen anyone mention this in the reviews. Secondly, is it worth including an active clutch pedal? I also still need to work on a wind simulator, an active belt tensioner, and a rally button plate from Pokornyi. There are so many useful and entertaining projects to tackle right now! I’ve already built Lebois’s active shifter, and it’s absolutely amazing.
@chepilevskiАй бұрын
Some crazy projects brother 💪 The active pedals I have here works perfectly in heal and toe technique even if the throttle plate is not optimal. What I did was pushing bit further the brake pedal and making the first part of the throttle input bit more responsive and softer! It helped enormously! About the clutch, I don’t think there is any advantage! Can’t wait to see your project finished 💪

Have you ever tried the BDH H1SQ?
@dauntae24Ай бұрын
I’ve owned one for a few weeks. The sequential mode is very bad. Very loose and mine squeaks on the upshift. No amount of white lithium grease will fix the issue. I ended up getting a Jinx V2 dedicated shifter. It’s a complete monster with great feel and it’s almost completely silent.
@chepilevskiАй бұрын
I’ve only tested it in the expo last month and felt great in H mod but in SQ is not as good and it stuck in gear if I tide the settings as I’ve said in the video! I loved it however in H mod
@dauntae24Ай бұрын
@@chepilevskiagreed. I applaud BDH for listening to its customers and developing a hybrid unit but if you’re already buying the BDH for it’s incredible H pattern, you’re probably going to be disappointed in the sequential.

Hey, I love your content. I have several questions that I’ll ask quickly: 1. best realistic hydraulic pedal that money can buy? 2. What’s your current pedal setup? 3. Is the Simucube brake better than a hydraulic pedal for realism? 4. What pedal is definitely better than the P2000? Thanks!
@chepilevskiАй бұрын
In my opinion the most realistic pedals are the SRP pneumatic pedals which I’m testing right now but will need few weeks before release video about it! The Simucube Active can mimic any feeling and in fact I was surprised to feel those SRP felt exactly as I setup the Simucube active and from hydraulic better then the P2000 I can say I personally prefer the P1000 more with the hydraulic kit! But again, the SRP for now are the best I ever felt under my feet in terms of nice progressive feeling just like in real car and the Simucube can mimic whatever we wish 🤛
@TheStarKing9Ай бұрын
@@chepilevski Awesome, you’re the best. Thanks. So essentially, the Simucube is the best pedal since it can mimic anything?

Hi there, great content as always man:-) I’ve got a question about the loudness, can you compare it with Simagic Q1S and Bash Pro? I sold my Simagic, because I didn’t much like it(I love my other Simagic stuff) and the noise was very loud. Now I have Bash and oh my… it’s excellent and noise is as well acceptable. My friend is looking for something good and cheaper than my Bash, but loudness is one of the factors(he sold his Q1S too). Thank for your answer, cheers from Czech Republic:))
@chepilevskiАй бұрын
I just send it back for noise improvement as the gays from AW told me they found the way to dump the noise and hopefully will got it next week and test how it sounds! After that first test however I would say is as loud as the Simagic with that metallic echoing sound! Let’s see what will that be with the new improvements 🤛

Saw it mentioned a couple of places, thought it was vapour ware since was no reviews of it, and only a 3D rendering on their page. 560 euros is a bit much for me, even though it looks like excellent quality. Probably not that easy to compete against something like mass produced the simagic shifter Hopefully they will do well, competition is always welcome.

Just rewatched your o-rouge cold fusion seat review. You loved your old rs7 seat and you seemed to love the cold fusion and say it was easy to reccomend. You mentioned the gt pad seat although it looked amazing was a pain in the ass. How come the sabelt seat has stayed on your rig? Sponsorship deal or??? Tempted to buy the cold fusion seat but curious as to why you aren’t using it. Thanks 🙏🏻
@chepilevskiАй бұрын
I’m with the cold fusion still on my rig buddy, just added the GT-Pads from Sabelt and the Sabelt GT-Pad seat is on my testing rig ! I have to do second video about it the cold fusion after full Sommer of use and is the seat indeed I prefer to keep on my main rig! For now I think I lost like 20% of the wind stream but I really spent enormous hours on that seat as I’m also editing videos for hours all the time 😁 Nothing really have changed of my original opinion from that video and it goes exactly as I expected! Fans still can pass air trough the pats 😃
@tbGTRАй бұрын
@ amazing. That’s great to hear. When you say you lost 20% airflow…is that due to depredation or because you added the gt pad seat pads on top?
@chepilevskiАй бұрын
@ the GT pads are applied cosmetically and strategically to not cut the flow but seating on the original pads which are specifically designed to let air trough got compressed in the first few weeks and lost like little airflow but that’s it! It still doesn’t make difference as I was using it on scale 3 out of 6 and was filling bit too much air movement around my lower back! Now from November i haven’t even needed to use the cooling but in the summer was quite helpful in the very hot days even if i still sweated when was over 30c 😄

This is bad. Because I was already decided on simagic DS-8X, but now this... This shifter looks better and from what i could imagine feels better. So question: Simagic DS-8X or AW Hyper Shift? @chepilevskiАй бұрын
It depends on you how much you want to use the SQ mod! If sequential shifting will be your priority the definitely go for the AW because the DX won’t ever fully satisfy you! If the H- mod is what you gonna use then the DX worth saving some cash as it feels very good and probably as god as the AW! Just think about that and you will figure out what will work best for you 🤛

However, I can’t say if that applies to you as we are all different and what matters is what will give you peace of mind 🤛 Those it 200€ save will make you happier or you will think later “what of” The AW is definitely better gearbox 😃
