Considering where ACC was in its Early Access stage and where it ended up, Evo has a huge potential. It looks to me that many people consider it as a finished product at this stage and they complain. EA = you are a beta tester. I will not debate here if EA is a good practice or not but the truth is AC Evo will launch in Autumn 2025. Beta sneak peak shows that there is a reason to be excited for the version 1.0
@chepilevski18 сағат бұрын
I personally believe EA is great in terms of getting proper feedback from actual users on set the world based on those real use cases. I didn’t expected anything more than that and I’m very happy with the current state too but i also totally understand the guys who want to dive straight in the polished version 🤛

If you HAD to chose between the XP1 & P1000 pedals what would you go with? I realize you probably can’t go wrong with either, but I would love to hear your opinion on which you’d chose before I decide🙏🏼🙏🏼
@chepilevski18 сағат бұрын
That’s very hard decision 🙈 I like how easy can the XP1 be tweaked in terms of physical settings but I also like the P1000 inverted version. They both looks really good quality build and esthetics are top in both! Software is no question in both models and covers my needs and I will definitely use the Simagic haptic motors in both! I try to find any reason to pick a winner but i can’t ! I guess the price you can find them can be one reason for your choice or you personal taste and which one are more pleasing to you!

Gave it a good first go on Thursday night, I have a lot of tweaking to do... the absolute default FFB was trashy, but removing most of the damper and TruForce helped a ton, still more to come. I set graphics at medium and at 4k with my 3080 was pulling fps in the 80s. Is it perfect? No. Is it terrible? Also no. I agree, the potential is there. In the showroom the visuals were super stunning except the wheels.. like they didn't have the right texture, least on the 296 (only one I checked out deep). As always, phenomenal driving here, holy crap, really wheelin' that thing.

Could you kindly share your FFB settings for the game? I’m using a Simucube 2 Pro and noticed that while Kunos suggests 8Nm on their website, the example image shows a setting of 25Nm, which has caused some confusion. I’ve also tried your AMS 2 profile, and it’s by far the most refined and impressive configuration I’ve experienced.

It's still very buggy but the foundation is there, the level of detail on my wheel and the incredible atmosphere make me forget I'm in a simulation and that's for me what sim raing is all about. I'm quite envious of how you got to setup your triples, in my triple 27 and 4090 I'm hitting tons of issues from black screen when starting the race to DLAA and DLSS that come and go in the menu with no antialiasing to a big blurry mess using FSR3... any advice? :) And yes that song is already on a loop in my brain!

I agree with your view on the dampened FFB. I have turned every slider to zero except GAIN, and it's starting to feel a lot better. I can feel the FFB is a blend of AC and ACC. Just hope they optimise the graphics performance soon.

I think it will most likely be a good work in progress. According to the EULA agreement, we don't own anything. So we have not a leg to stand on. But I'm not one to snivel over $31.99 Hopefully they won't have licensing issues and bye bye birdy. Hopefully we'll get enough updates this year. Feels like a winner. Very nice driving! As usual. Great job!

I have the same impression, the way you feel the elevations on the track and how the tires react upon lifting or with extra downforce is absolutely astonishing. You can really tell when you push the car with pedal to the metal out of apex, you can literally tell the front of the car lifts and feel the back holding it and front fighting for the friction with downforce. The feeling is incredible I really enjoy this already, this is gonna be one beast of a sim race !

Initially with defaults for me (8KX/9800X3D/4090) it looked, felt & ran like Sh*t. Super disappointed. But then second day, I spent 3 hours getting it running properly. It now looks OK, runs at 60htz in my headset, I have SimHub Motion & Haptics setup & I fixed the FFB feeling.... And I totally agree. Crucially, it drives great, feels great. I now go back to AC1, but look forward to the updates with a lot of confidence. One thing that struck me the most, was how much detail is in the cars. All the dashes and panels, incredible. I think that the groundwork is there for us to really become attached and love our cars just like they said, which is very exciting for me because I don't think many games have ever got this right (let alone a proper sim).

Insane potential, when has ac or acc felt this good in early access in the first 2 days? They didn't! So this is a massive positive. Lots of bugs the first 2 hours. They released a patch very quickly and released a small update earlier and now another update. They are def on top of it! Let's goo! Also imo its the first game that understands how to truely use dampening! Not to reduce details but the natural weight it adds. I keep it very low but it works very well. Can get any feeling of weight you want now! Loving how my asetek feels on it! Cant imagine how good that vnm feels on it! Enjoy

My opinion in bullet points cuz so many to cover : 1. You are right about FFB, but to be fair, we usually ask for an unrealistic FFB that compensates for the lack of G-Force IRL. We can't blame them for going for the real feel. But I agree, for sim racing, the first way is better overall. But also, like you said, the FFB in Evo is actually decent and nowhere near as bad as ACC imo. It gets passable approval from me. 2. Contrary to a lpt of people, I don't find the UI that bad. Some things are weird, like when you choose the car, there is no button to confirm. You have to go back twice to the race menu, like wtf? Also, having all liveries is insane lol. But there are a lot of things I like. The control setting menu is great for me, but maybe because I am used to the complicated flight sim control menus, and it is very similar to that. I also love that every menu could be navigated directly from the wheel if you set it up right. The preset manager for controls is also great. You can copy a preset and experiment with things, but keep the original if you want to go back. And the fact you can change it on the fly and mid race is a huge plus. 3. The graphics are very good but clearly very demanding. Yesterday, VR was totally broken, but today, they patched it, and it is very playable. It's much better than ACC. However, with a 3090, I get around 40 fps, which is very low but surprisingly very smooth. I lock it at 36 fps and use reprojection at 72 fps. It's not great, but it does the trick for now. People expect better graphics, textures, and lighting with no hit to the performance, which is impossible. Maybe optimization would improve it, but I doubt it will be a big difference. I just hope they provide some better presets for low-end users. 4. before the first update, the AI was impossible to race against, but they seemed a bit better after the first patch, or maybe I just got used to them. They do need a lot of improvement, and they are way too easy even at a high level. 5. Overall, I think they are targeting a large audience, especially with consoles, and expect a lot of them to have minimal knowledge and give them the easiest option possible. I remember when I switched from my Fanatec V3 pedals that were directly linked to the base to the HE Sprints, I also had to invert access in AC1. I think those who have integrated pedals are less likely to know how to do it and need an easy to go experience. Those of us who have separate high-performance pedals are more likely to know what to do to fix these problems. Kunos went with the easier option for those who need it and rely on us to be able to fix it when we have to. This is also why they put all assists to max and expect us who are more hardcore to know to remove them instead of expecting the newbies to know how to add them. I really dont mind that it seeks like they might have the best of both worlds for new casual player and us the diehard sim fans. Great video as always and sorry for the long comment. Have so many things to say lol 😂

I think there absolutely is an argument to be made for blaming them for the lack of G forces. The reality is that it is a simulator, not a real car. You can't just recreate the feeling of a wheel in a real car and ignore all the other feelings. What sense is in that? Especially considering how much of driving is done through your whole body, not just hands. It's not 'unrealistic', it's simulated. It should be simulating the forces of a car acting on you. If you're playing a "car wheel simulator" you'd get away with it. I don't think that's what these games are though.
@MegaIronicaКүн бұрын
@TunaIRL like I said, I totally agree with that. I find the FFB a bit too numb to fully understand what the car is doing. However, what I also said is they did not just put a bad FFB model that is not even like the real thing. Some sims, unfortunately, have numb FFB and are also unrealistic and don't reflect the real thing at all. ACE at least is numb but realistic. Hopefully, that could mean that with better future updates to reduce the dampening, it might become excellent because the underlying simulation is actually very good.

I am interested in the game, only a pity that it does not perform well enough. am2 is my number 1, the best ffb, lmu I do not like, ams2 has much more feeling in corners, lmu is like going around the corner on a block of concrete, if you step on the gas too early nothing happens compared to ams2. ams2 you have to drive more, lmu my mother-in-law can drive without a driver's license. So I hope that evo will succeed.

Can you make a video on setting triples for AC EVO, I had to switch them of an use on a sigle monitor as I could not get over 30 fps with them, I turn them off and changed the aspect ratio to 16:9 @ 1440 resolution and I immediately bumped to 119fps with high and ultra and maybe a couple mediums on a 4070ti
@dinxsy8069Күн бұрын
FFB is horrendous just as ACC, Too much centre spring, dampening, smoothing, no detail what so ever. Road Cars and Track cars auto correct themselves now, pretty much a dead feeling heavy PAS. Worse part is people saying it feels just like Forza so feels good to them (no clue as to what FFB should feel like or needs to be in a Sim). If Kunos are going to listen to people like that it'll never be improved until we get content manager allowing the tweaked FFB, if Kunos even allows it as it's obvious they've gone the hand holding route and won't allow the freedom of open mods as they already stated needs approval.
